The rooms are fabulous. Very luxurious feel in the rooms and common areas. Food was delicious with lots of choice. The staff are wonderful, attentive without ever being intrusive. The cleaning is impeccable. We stayed here for our last two days in Sri Lanka and it was a great place to relax and unwind.

Our stay during the christmas days at Ahu Bay was excellent. Amazing views, spacious Rooms all with sea view, delicious food, very friendly and attentive staff. They really make every wish come true. I would rate the overall experience 10/10 and would really recommend it. Espacially to couples for a nice and romantic getaway in wonderful Sri Lanka!

The moment I stepped into Malabar Hill Hotel, I felt an overwhelming sense of serenity. Nestled amidst nature, it’s the perfect place for those seeking a calming retreat from the hustle and bustle. The spacious rooms exude warmth, and each is spotlessly clean, offering cozy comforts that make you feel right at home. But what took my breath away was the balcony view. Imagine waking up to the chirping of birds, an expansive forest that stretches as far as the eye can see, with the azure sky above and a tantalizing glimpse of the ocean in the distance. And the pool? Simply a dreamy oasis. At their restaurant, each dish is a culinary masterpiece, with flavors so authentic, you can taste the richness of every spice. A little tip: if you prefer milder flavors, do request them to tone down the spices. My stay was made even more memorable by the trips we took. The Galla Fort exudes historical charm, the tea trip was an enlightening journey into the world of tea-making, and the Kollaghan Lake was a visual feast with its picturesque islands, lively birds, playful monkeys, and yes, we even spotted a crocodile! If “heaven on earth” would be a place, it would be called Haritha Villas. Having stayed in some of the worlds best Hotels and Resorts around the globe, this might have been one of the best. This Hotel is the perfect place if you want to escape from all the daily routine and stress. A small oasis of well-being with breathtaking views of the Sri Lankan Jungle. The Private Pool Villas are extremely beautiful and very private. There is absolutely no way for anyone to have a sneak peek into your accommodation. The Service including our private Villa Host: Tharanga, was the best we have experienced so far. From planning the most spectacular excursions to giving tips and tricks around the Island, there was no wish left to fulfill. All matters are given an open ear and are immediately implemented. Moreover you do not feel like a customer at Haritha but rather like family. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner are all served a-la cart and are of highest quality and standards. If you are looking for fine michelin style food, or simple feel good “soulfood” you will definitely be very happy with all the options they provide you with. No request is left unfulfilled! The General Manager Umby is one of the kindest people we have met, making you feel straight at home and understanding your every need. If you feel the need to go to the beach, the Hotel features a complimentary 1min tuktuk ride to a luxurious partner Hotel that they have arrangements with, so that you can enjoy a fabulous beach if you wish. The only negative part of our stay, was that we did not book the property for a longer period of time and having to leave! All the staff are genuinely helpful and accommodating. Special thanks to Opeka for your warm service. Food prepared by Chef Dinesh were really good, too! A perfect getaway if you need to unwind in nature, with the luxury of having comfortable facilities and delicious food.

Weligama Temple Tree er staðsett í Weligama og er með garð og ókeypis WiFi. Öll herbergin eru með sérbaðherbergi. Herbergin eru einnig með verönd. Herbergin á dvalarstaðnum eru með setusvæði. The host is exceptionally good. He supported us in all queries and plans we had. The room is very big and has everything one can wish. The host even has a generator to cover power outages. The breakfast. This is something else. You know these fancy restaurants where you order a menu with 5 courses and every course is something interesting you have never heard before? So, breakfast at Temple Tree is a Sri Lankas version of that. Every day we got served something new and so much that we even packed it for lunch.

Naomi Beach Resort - Adults only er staðsett í Weligama, 100 metra frá Dammala-ströndinni og býður upp á gistirými með útisundlaug, ókeypis einkabílastæði, garði og verönd. This incredible property is one of the few to be situated right on the beach, with all the rooms overlooking the sea. Everything about this small hotel is wonderful! The swimming pool, also overlooking the ocean, has ample space to relax; and their restaurant has to be the best in the area. Everything we ate was delicious! We stayed for 4 nights and could happily have stayed longer. There is a natural tidal pool within easy walk and I had at least one turtle join me every time I swam there. My husband surfed right outside! No need for jumping into a tuk tuk to search for waves. Jamu surf hostel is just 2 roads away where daily drop in yoga classes are offered. Oh and best of all…the staff! So very friendly and helpful! All in all, a phenomenal stay!

Hiru Resort Inn Unawatuna er staðsett í innan við 300 metra fjarlægð frá Unawatuna-ströndinni og 1,7 km frá Rumassala South Beach í Unawatuna. Boðið er upp á gistirými með setusvæði. The place was very clean and well maintained. It was located around 10min walk from the beach, in a jungle. The only problem was very bad reception and super slow WiFi, but if you sat closer to the router it worked well. The typical breakfast of eggs, toast and fruits was included. The hosts were amazing, they upgraded our room without additional payment. What is more, they helped me when I needed charger after mine broke.

Arcadia Resort er staðsett í Hikkaduwa, 300 metra frá Hikkaduwa-strætisvagnastöðinni og 500 metra frá ströndinni. Boðið er upp á grillaðstöðu og útisundlaug sem er opin allt árið um kring. This property is a hidden gem for those seeking a peaceful retreat. Few people were here; it feels like a home. Jay, the one who looks after the place, is very helpful, and he always oversees the place. He told us we can cook in the upstairs kitchen. The three-room apartment feels like home too. Since one room was booked, we got one from there and two rooms next to the pool. The calm and relaxing atmosphere, paired with the breathtaking landscaping, make it a truly special place.
