Taplow Rail Station is 0.5 miles from the Norfolk House. The M4 motorway is a 5-minute drive away and Windsor’s historic town centre and racecourse can be reached after a 10-minute drive. Heathrow Airport is just a 20-minute car journey away.

Our stay was for going to a local wedding so just needed a place within a short taxi ride. Only in the room to sleep.

The Olde Bell, BW Signature Collection is a modernised 5-star coaching inn providing Ilse Crawford designed restful rooms with a rustic elegance. Some parts date back as far as 1135 and it has kept some of its original design features.

The only suggestion I would have is to allow the opportunity to dine in one of the more original old areas.

The George Inn is located on Windsor’s High Street and offers views of the castle. This 300-year-old inn looks onto the River Thames and features a restaurant and bar.

Each of the rooms at The George Inn has pleasant décor and wooden furnishings. All rooms have free WiFi, a flat-screen TV and tea and coffee-making facilities.

I really liked the staff - very friendly and helpful. I felt welcome and wasn't met with the type of insincere kindness that is frequent in chain hotels.

The Windsor Trooper is an 18th century public house and inn, with 9 cosy rooms to welcome you.

We are proud winners of the Slough, Windsor & Maidenhead CAMRA Real Cider Pub of the Year 2022 & 2023, we consistantly have 10 Tradional Ciders available so when you visit why not try them out for yourself and see why we’re the best around!

This room above a pub, was exceptional, it really exceeded all our expectations as a family. We booked 2 twin rooms as we were travelling, Grandmother, Mother and 2 teenagers. The rooms were bigger than expected, we had our own entrance, ensuite shower room. We really enjoyed our stay for 1 night but, could have stayed longer, it was so comfortable. Local restaurants were within walking distance.

Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good and dinner was tasty if a limited package choice. Wine choices suited our preferences. Spa back treatment was one of the best - very effective facial. Spa pool wasn’t open.

A lovely quiet room, furnished with colourful textiles including woollen blankets and cushions. Pleasant staff and high quality breakfast. Our second stay at a Butcombe Inn and I highly recommend this small chain.
