Situated on the outskirts of the village of Shefford Woodlands, The Pheasant Inn boasts a traditional restaurant and a cosy bar with an open fire. This pet-friendly inn offers free Wi-Fi and free private parking. Outstanding staff, Ben and Catherine and the lovely blonde girl on her way to Uni.....Olivia? Amazing customer service. The food was GREAT, thanks to Ben and the other chef whose name we have unfortunately forgotten!! Seriously lovely food, beautifully cooked fish, inventive vegetarian options, and gorgeous breakfast. Just great all around and wonderful, friendly and kind staff. They even noticed my newfound love for the Scotch Egg and bought me one for the flight out. Comfortable bed with great pillows and linens, fluffy robes and towels, and a Dyson air-cooling fan. All details thoughtful and of quality fabrics. Maybe something more than Nescafe packet coffee? But otherwise a real treat, and cannot say enough about the staff. Loved the fact that lighting was wall sconces, not overheads!!

This room above a pub, was exceptional, it really exceeded all our expectations as a family. We booked 2 twin rooms as we were travelling, Grandmother, Mother and 2 teenagers. The rooms were bigger than expected, we had our own entrance, ensuite shower room. We really enjoyed our stay for 1 night but, could have stayed longer, it was so comfortable. Local restaurants were within walking distance.

The appearance of the hotel and it's location was an ideal start. We were then welcomed by friendly staff and check in was fast. Room was clean and modern and everything worked. Dinner was fantastic and waiter Matt was friendly but not overly so as to impose. Will come back again
Great location close to the town centre and the Long Walk. Bed was very comfortable. Lots of nice little touches in the room. Beautifully decorated. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially in the dining room for dinner and breakfast. Food was great.
Nice oldie Waldie coaching inn
So charming, it’s just as lovely as it seems. Get there early for dinner and enjoy the pub. We spent a happy evening there- eating wonderful food, doing bits and bobs, trying pints and playing cards. Room was comfy, plenty of parking and the breakfast was just as nice. The staff are an asset for sure.
The staff serving dinner, the breakfast
Great inn, with traditional rustic decoration, spacious comfortable rooms, meadow with horses at the background, great food at the pub
We were placed in the Admiral’s Inn guest house where there was no breakfast room. However, there was a small fridge in the room, which was an added bonus, where we were able to keep our own breakfast bits. The shower was on a huge base, allowing plenty of manoeuvring, but the electronic water control made water flow and temperature control quite difficult.(Water was either full on, or full off and the smallest of thermostat movements made the water very hot, or very cold).
Historic inn in a lovely location. Good service, delicious breakfast. Comfortable, well decorated rooms.
The innkeeper was very nice and clean with lovely staff and great food. This was a great location for Windsor castle and other attractions.
