Located among the famous gardens of Monte, in the heart of this romantic and lush village in the hills above Funchal, OurMadeira - Babosas Village, gardénias and greenspaces features spacious... We had a wonderful time, stayed at the suite, because it was the only one with a king bed. Didn't have a balcony, but we only spent time at the hotel to sleep and have breakfast so it wasn't a big deal. Big space, nicely decorated, very very clean. It's a boutique hotel with only a few rooms, so very quiet and peaceful. The staff was very helpful, specially mr. Hugo, who made us feel very welcoming. Breakfast at the terrace with a beautiful view was perfect. We would' t think twice to choose Babosas Village again!

This was an incredible location and beautifully presented cabin. Cabin was cozy, well.equipped, quiet and felt private. Lovely sitting on the balcony listening to the wind in the trees and birdsong. All very clean and the bed was very comfy, with memory foam bed and pillows. There are amazing hikes that you can do from the front door, such as PR3 and another trail up into the mountains. We enjoyed these more than other hikes in the area as they were so quiet- we only saw a handful of other people on them.

Lovely cabin surrounded by mountain views, we saw so many stars at night. There's a great place to eat and drink (O Barracão), just 10 mins walk from the cabin, and it's only 20 minutes drive from Funchal (we had a rental car, but I believe there's a bus stop nearby too). It felt like a little home away from home, bed was very comfortable, shower was excellent and the little kitchenette had a stove top, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and fridge. Our host was wonderful, very welcoming and gave us lots of recommendations. I would definitely stay here again!

Bedding, towels and shower etc of good quality. Comfortable bed. Heater warmed the cabin up nicely when required.
