The foyer is amazingly beautiful. We were greeted by name by the best concierge I’ve ever had in a hotel. He told us all about the hotels history. We ate a late dinner in the bar restaurant, fireside, and it was delicious. I wish we had more time to check out the rest of the property!

The room was dirty, had smears of food all over the kitchen area, I had to sweep the floor myself was grimy and dirty. Says no smoking on property but could smell weed and cigarette smoke all over property. People arguing outside and being loud. We won't be staying here again.

We were just passing through and looking for a clean...
We were just passing through and looking for a clean comfortable place to get a good night sleep and a decent breakfast before continuing our trip. The room met our expectations but the breakfast was the worst that I've had in a long time. They had a poor selection and didn't have glasses of forks. People were using waffle measuring cups for their drinks. I asked a staff member if she could get us some forks and she was very rude. All she would say is we don't have forks. I would recommend staying here if you don't plan on staying for breakfast. Also, check your credit card to make sure that you are being charged the rate the you agreed on when booking the room. I was overcharged approximately $40. Fortunately, I noticed this and was able to get the charge changed.

The Marriott was very convenient to Roanoke Memorial Hospital, the reason for our visit was my husband’s heart surgery. The restaurant was great and met our dinner needs, but breakfast was too early to take advantage of. I lived in Roanoke 56 years ago, Much had changed, but folks were still friendly and helpful. Thanks Roanoke

We initially came for a three night stay.
We initially came for a three night stay. My husband had a heart attack the first night so he went to the hospital and I stayed for five nights.
They were very helpful and accommodating under the circumstances. They let me move to a larger room when my daughter joined me. Let me add/subtract nights on short notice. Gave me a medical discount . I could not have asked for better support. Thank you . I will stay there whenever we visit Roanoke.

The hotel was very nice and clean, and a great price from Booking.com. Next time we'll plan on adding a day to see some sights and get a good meal.

We live in a nearby town.
We live in a nearby town. And make several trips a week to Roanoke. Often wish we lived there to save the commute (But then we like our own house too much). There is plenty of great food and entertainment in Roanoke. We like Atlanta and Dallas too, but on a smaller scale Roanoke competes well and is WAY WAY WAY less hassle. Pick up a copy of the Roanoker for lots of tips on food and entertainment. We always take guests to the Mill Mountain Star and the Train Museum.

Roanoke has the best of both worlds.
Roanoke has the best of both worlds. You can be downtown and experience wonderful restaurants and boutiques, or you can go up to Mill Mountain and visit a Zoo or the famous Star!! They also have the river so you can do things on the water. There are many trails throughout the city.
Room was really clean, staff was very helpful and professional. We lost our cat while at the hotel and staff helped look for her during our time there. We unfortunately had to leave the next day without our cat but the staff stated they'd give us a call if they found her. After a week we received the call from the staff they had found our cat and was taking care of her until we could travel back. I can't thank the staff enough for their caring and taking care of our pet until we came to get her.
Breakfast was excellent. We had stayed at other places on the trip that only had grab and go, or no breakfast at all. The food was quite good and the staff serving the breakfast were friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, and oriented quite nicely. As far as location, it was very close to restaurants and shopping. The drive to downtown Roanoke was easy, and did not take long at all.
My room had all the necessities. I liked how close the hotel was to the highway (just down the street). I liked that I was able to walk to downtown in less than 15 minutes from the hotel. The Berglund Center is right across the street from the hotel. I was surprised with a to-go bag when I checked out - that was very thoughtful!
I don't get luxury experiences very often and was at this hotel solely because my daughter's thought it looked like a castle and love hotels. The staff was super kind and patient. My daughter's had a great time and everything we had from the kitchen was fantastic. They are extremely picky eaters. It was an experience on its own
The room felt very nice for a cheap hotel. I was pleasantly surprised walking in. The lady at the front desk was nice enough to put me in a room inside, as I was a solo female traveler. I worked remotely from the room with no wifi issues. It is also pretty close to town and only 15min to McAfee Knob. I would stay here again.
Great location! Convenient to restaurants, bars, and everything downtown Roanoke has to offer. The hotel itself is beautiful mix of modern meets vintage that truly works. Beds are very comfortable and who doesn't love a great shower? It's definitely all the little extras that made this hotel a memorable stay.
The staff was amazing. Close to everything. My only complaint is not with the hotel but with Booking. Price online was the same as hotels which I could have gotten a better deal calling directly with my military discount, like $40 cheaper. Booking is not always your best deal. I highly recommend this hotel
In these days of Covid and all the ensuing issues it brings, it is nice to find a very clean, very comfortable room. This historic hotel is in a great location for exploring downtown, the self serve parking was easy and the staff were very helpful. We had a great stay!!
The view from this location is amazing! The room was clean and sealed with a sticker after it was cleaned. The room was a good size. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly. Thank you for giving us such good treatment our first time in Roanoke.
The location was great ! It was very close to the downtown and next to some breweries and great restaurants.
Everything inside the apartment looked exactly like in the pictures. The hosts were very attentive and replied immediately to any questions.
It is the best quality/price ratio hotel I have stayed in the US so far. Nice, clean rooms, good facilities, and breakfast. The check-in process was smooth, even though I arrived at night. Strongly recommended to anyone.
I could have waffles every day and the manager reached out to help resolve the issues we had during the stay.
Check-out and Check-in were a breeze, couldn't wait to get ourselves back home from Roanoke.
Location was excellent, easy to walk to downtown restaurants.
Parking was not included, but easy enough to organise.
Views over Roanoake were great from the 7th floor.
