Love the beach and the surrounding area but getting there and leaving the area is terrible. Everytime we left the area to sightsee we were stuck in traffic up to 1 hour between Virginia Beach and Williamsburg.
We loved the trolley rides. You can go to many great places on the trolleys. You can go on a sightseeing boat ride and catch a trolley back for a nice dinner.Virginia Beach has lots of fun things for families to do! Dolphin Cruises, ifly, Pirate ship rides ,Putt Putt golf and the wonderful Ocean! The Boardwalk always has fun things to do and see.
We love the entire mountain region of Virginia and other locations along I-81. Since we live close enough in Richmond, we often plan day trips to Staunton, Afton Mt. and other close locations. If you're a lover of gourmet popcorn visit Kings on Afton Mt. and homemade ice cream go to Klines in Staunton, Waynesboro or Harrisonburg. So much to see and do in the I-81 corridor ❤
Bluefield is an ideal location for exploring what southern West Virginia has to offer It is a pristine small town with plenty to do.
Beach was clean. Attractions and great seafood restaurants. First time to Virginia Beach. I wasn't expecting it to be so busy. Prefer a quieter beach area but would return. Much less crowded than the Myrtle Beach area.
We liked the beach and the whole area around Virginia Beach.....great places to eat .....everyone we met was very nice and just a great experience overall. Some of the best restaurants were Bubbas and Ynot Italian that we’re close ...also Chick’s oyster bar a locals favorite and Pocahontas Pancake House for breakfast....
Great place to go to. The board walk was Fabulous! Really relaxing place to go to! I love the king neptune a lot. I ate at a store nearby to were I wanted it. Getting around Virginia Beach was REALLY easy.
My view of Virginia Beach. Considering this was my first time there but I loved it a lot! The beach was clean and it was so perfect. I love to lay out and enjoy the water. I so would highly recommend this place because it’s just that great and I loved it.
Love Virginia Beach and the many activities on the beach for the children - Excellent food choices- They do a good job of keeping the beach and boardwalk clean. No. 1 choice to vacation
Virginia Beach is beautiful and definitely for lovers!! Everyone was so nice and helpful! Can’t wait to go back! The boardwalk was the place to go! They have everything there! The beaches were very clean and I loved that you could rent an umbrella to a cabana if you forgot anything! Perfect getaway!
This hotel is conveniently located in downtown Virginia Beach sandwiched between the boardwalk and the shopping strip. Every room has a beautiful ocean view. We were able to check in early and were offered a choice of floors. The complimentary breakfast was delicious. I was impressed by the variety of food and how well it tasted. The pool area was nice and having a gym available was a great bonus too. Can’t beat the breathtaking sunrise view though… All in all, we’d stay there again. It was affordable and gave you a lot for your money.
I can't thank you all especially Giovani at the front desk. She worked with us and making sure we were able to extend our time at the hotel due to an issue with our car. We had to get it serviced at the local Volvo dealership. Didn't know how long it would take. We were coming from IL and had no other option but to rent a vehicle and stay in Virginia a few extra days. The breakfast and staff were amazing. Loved the cleanliness of the facility. Work out room was a plus as well as the sitting room area.
everything else was excellent and was to my expectations every time I go to Virginia Beach I plan on getting a room here I have been here several times the staff was great in the rooms are beautiful especially the balcony and listening to the ocean at night also when I checked out 3 hours out of Virginia Beach I remembered I left my purse in the hotel room the staff went and found it and put it in the office and when they received the return box they mailed my purse to me which I got.
The hotel was beautiful but even more important was the outstanding employees. I have never stayed anywhere where the staff took a personal interest and met your needs without being asked! So nice to be greeted at breakfast by Andy and Bonnie! Breakfast was great every day. Even a manager came by at breakfast and asked how we were and if we needed anything. I will never think of staying anywhere else in Virginia Beach. Great boardwalk location with Neptune Festival going on.
Virginia Beach
I can’t say I liked anything g about this resort! But also extremely disappointed in Booking.com. Hotel had an age requirement-Booking.com did not make this evident. BEWARE when booking any hotels in Virginia for your children under the age of 21. My kids had to sleep in their car-hotel took my money and refused to credit me! Turned my kids away because they were 19 and didn’t have militate ID! 16 hours away from home a paid room and they would not credit my account!
Very Dog friendly. It was nice to see that a hotel was so accepting of so may people who travel with pets. If more hotels did this they would be as busy as the Hyatt was this week end. In most cases a place like the Hyatt and patrons with pet owners who stay do not abuse or make a mess just because they have a dog in their presence. Thanks Hyatt Virginia Beach for being so awesome in customer service and letting our fur babies be a part of the stay.
The location of the hotel was in a great area did not know until we ate at California Piazza Kitchen that we there was so many other places to eat. We ate at Anchor's Allie near the hotel which the breakfast food was great. Virginia Beach was awesome and so was the food at a restaurant we also ate at. We did the Village Inn which was right next to the hotel and also great food. I will definitely return to Virginia Beach again!!
Disappointed, you should remove the Days Inn from your list, book in Winsor Lock (BDL AIRPORT), the dirty hotel we paid for and we had to share the hallways with wanderers...today I arrived at one with my family in (Virginia) DAYS INN, the lousy dirty hotel. They had to change rooms twice because dirty water came out of the shower. VERIAN BOOKING HAS MORE RESPECT FOR THEIR CLIENTS.
Alexandria
The property is in the prime area of Northern Virginia and serves as a launch point for multiple attractions in DC, VA or MD. The apartment was in pretty good shape and things were very clean and well organized. The setup was phenomenal and the instructions given were clear and concise. Communication was also excellent all around concerning check-ins to see how things were going.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The newly renovated lobby is nice. The room and bathroom were spacious and the bed was comfy. The hotel restaurant is accommodating for those who want to do take-out/take-away because of the pandemic. It is affordable hotel located between Norfolk and Virginia Beach that provides a good home-base for exploring both areas.
The location and the cleanliness. The hotel is very pretty decor and cozy. I felt safe secure. The parking garage is very convenient.Last but not least I love the breakfast excellent. My husband and I go to Virginia to visit our son and we will always stay at the Marriott Residence Inn. I forgot about the laundry room and the gym very nice and convenient.
Charlottesville
This hotel is in a great location for someone with a car who wants to be near the University of Virginia campus. It's a short drive to any of the local places. It's also near tons of restaurants and a pharmacy. The pillows on the bed were completely amazing. The included coffee machine worked and the air conditioner worked great.
The breakfast was like snacks not breakfast the advertisement was not like how they show you the room. They did not put on the front of the ocean view. When I got to it to the hotel, they said portion view I have to pay an extra fee for the whole ocean view. Worst hotel I stayed in Virginia, I will never stay at that hotel again….
The Hotel was excellent from the location to the staff to the upkeep of the Hotel , the rooms are modern sacked with the things that you need very clean bed are comfortable. Breakfast in the mornings was very delicious I really enjoyed my stay and when I am in the state of Virginia this will be the my hotel of choice
The hotel and staff were very friendly helpful and I would recommend this hotel to anyone possible 😊 which is why I always choose the extended stay of America Hampton Coliseum Virginia... Great place to call home especially when you really matters and just want to get away and relax.. Thks kindly Lawanda Carter!!
I stayed here twice in a week---on short overnight stops to and from a trip to the Virginia coastal islands. On the second stop, Mario at the front desk was very helpful in getting me a room unexpectedly: I needed it because I missed my departing plane because of a glitch in the hotel's wake-up call system.
This is my favorite hotel in Virginia Beach. I've been coming here for years. The staff are always very friendly and very helpful to me. I love the nostalgia of the hotel and its in a prime location. Definitely glad to have had the opportunity to stay here again and during my birthday at that.
For what we needed the location, and the cost, were the main factors. This hotel is right on US 50 in Fairfax. The meeting we had to go to the following day was less than a mile away. We wanted to avoid the DC-northern Virginia commuting traffic. The bed was very comfortable.
Charlottesville
Peaceful, pretty location, excellent size, equipment, and a lower price than of any of the hotels we stayed in whilst in Virginia. Would make an excellent 2 to 3 night base when visiting this area, Shenandoah Valley/National Park. Historic restaurant just across the road.
Really like the Mary Baldwin University was a couple of block from the Howard Johnson Hotel….Restaurants were at walking distance….Hotel was very clean, as well as the bed being very comfortable….. definitely will stay again when visiting Staunton, Virginia
