Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Bosnia and HerzegovinaThere was no elevator but it is ok if you don't mind a little workout, but the hotel manager helped us carry our suitcases to the top floor so it is ok. The room wasn't cleaned daily and towels are not replaced daily but if you ask them, they will give you new ones.
The staff is super friendly. Breakfast was decent and the room was spacious.

United KingdomHotel is safe and isolated from the street however it is in a rough area. It benefits from a guest lift but I am not sure if it is feasible as it is an old building.
This small hotel is truly family run and had a warm welcome for all guests not only for myself. It was sufficient in most aspects. The most things I liked about were the quality of the mattress, room and bathroom size, good sized wardrobe room telephone, complimentary toiletries, TV, Wi-Fi, digital door key, large dressing table, good lighting, chair, suitcase stand, good breakfast, all-day long freshly brewed Turkish black tea, and coffee, privacy, and more. Not sure if my bed was double or king size. It was firm, healthy, comfortable with clean sheet, quilt, pillows and pillow cases. The room was a good size. Bathroom and shower was wide enough with good pressurised hot water. Heating was good. Towels and bedding changed regularly. Small housekeeping team work extremely hard and they are friendly. Laundry is cleaned and returned on the same day for a reasonable fee. The manager-receptionist Mr Cemal is a very friendly, experienced, knowledgeable professional who can help find solutions for any problems that the guests might face.

PhilippinesThe lack of an elevator posed significant challenges. The absence of an elevator to the reception area and guest rooms made it inconvenient, particularly for guests with heavy luggage. The manager's solo efforts to carry luggage up the stairs highlighted the accessibility issues, presenting a notable drawback to the overall experience at Merkez Otel. Addressing these challenges could greatly enhance the stay for future guests.
My stay at Merkez Otel had its ups and downs. On the positive side, the room exceeded expectations with its cozy ambiance, spacious layout, good lighting, and well-maintained washroom. The pleasant surprises in the room certainly contributed to a comfortable stay.

Polandgreat location, close to city center. The room had everything we needed, it was modest but good enough for the price. Friendly stuff, very helpful :) breakfast was okay, nothing extraordinary but good. The room is very close to a mosque, so for light sleepers I recommend either closing the window or getting earplugs.

CroatiaThe location is very close to a train station. However, the neighborhood doesn't look nice and, according to locals, is not very safe. The hotel is very old and not very well maintained. In the first room, which I got there was a broken light in the bath and a broken flush in the toilet. However, the room was changed without issues
Very nice host, warm and welcoming. Although the old man didn't speak English, we communicated with translator and it was totally OK. Very clean rooms (even unexpectedly after what you see in corridors)

KazakhstanThere were a few mold spots in the bathroom; however, if you've been living long enough in Turkey, you would know how common those things are.
If you are simply looking for a place to black out after hours and hours of walking, sightseeing, visiting museums, etc., it is a great choice. The staff is VERY friendly, and the rooms are clean with air-conditioners. There is free tea & coffee available 24/7. The location is convenient, with a train station to go to Ephesus, a metro line, and two small grocery stores underneath. It is also close to the old market area, and it takes about 10-15 minutes to walk to the ferry that goes to the other side of the bay.
