They said pool view. Well, the pool is not so big, quite narrow, between the buildings.

The location was Okay, close to the beach. The room was spacious, the bed was huge, though not so comfortable. The wifi was working for basic browsing, but not really good for working.

It seemed a hose was always running through the reception area to fill the swimming pool from the street and this was a trip hazard. The lift looked like it had not been cleaned in a long time.

The door lock was troublesome and I had to fiddle with it for several minutes every time I entered the room and in darkness because the motion sensor light was also malfunctioning. And apparently they will give you a towel for the beach but not a towel for the pool. Just a couple little things but would stay there again.

Never stayed in that area before and found it has everything you need: pool, bank, good restaurants, cheap Thai street food, 7 Eleven and taxi.

I like that this place is near the market and you can buy food that will save you money and time. The market is across the soi.

The hotel has expanded into a Hostel at very low buget prices. This is deteriorating the hotel with too many penniless and dirty travellers. My room 209 is my choice as next to pool. These buget travellers All have phones and laptops but to get some privacy they are hogging the pool area for talking and smoking, in many cases for hours and hours at all times day and night. I was awoken at 4am on one morning. I also like to swim, hence room 209. How can I swim with chain smokers around the pool? Ok it would not be allowed in Europe but these people are mostly European who are abusing normal health and safety standards. Scandia Hotel should NOT permit smoking by the pool, I am considering not booking again.

Breakfast very very poor and we paid for it advance, but ate at restaurants nearby. I recommend not to pay for breakfast. Our room was "deluxe" room with pool access. But many evenings group of people had evening beers just behind our glassdoor in balcony. Pool and pool area is very small and sun doesn`t shine there ever, because it is on narrow place between buildings. We didn`t use this "pool access" once and i highly recommend not to pay for it. Maybe for small children? Staff was there and did their jobs but with no attention or ever telling anything about area or anything.

The reception area is cramped and unfriendly , they seem to have squeezed a bar & restaurant at the front that makes access uneasy and unfriendly, with bar clients sitting on stools watching you getting in, actually the day I checked out a row erupted at the front between young drunken bar clients and some older blokes sitting there all day

The hotel is on a street of night clubs, so it is noisy until 2-3am at night... But my room was inside (near by the inside pool) and it was okay. The bed was comfortable.
