How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Maybe the fact that all the shoes were thrown at entrance , but hey the staff can't be blamed for that.
Very friendly staff that.The rooms as well as the restrooms are cleaned daily.Very well located as most monuments are at a walkable distance.Rooms are fresh as they are regularly air conditioned .Not noisy.

Some people playing and chatting in the common area until late night, small dormitory, mat too soft for my taste.

Unfortunately i could hear some of what happens in the bathroom from my bed.
That the room was on the ground floor, next to reception. Friendly staff. Easy check in & out.

I mentioned to Yaz that the moth balls in the bathrooms were overpowering to me. He had them removed. He explained they had been put there because there are open windows and spaces for small creatures to come in. And some people do not like that even though that is a part of life in Thailand.
Yaz, the owner is awesome. He went above and beyond for me. He answered questions for me and told me where exactly to catch my bus to the airport. After I took the night train and got in very early, he let me try to sleep in a private room until my dorm bed was available for check-in. I would contact him a day or two before each time passing through and he would try to fit me in and get me a bed in the female dorm. Much appreciated.

Very small premises. 6 bed dorm is too much and very congested. The should ideally have 4 beds only for comfort. Metal bunk beds too noisy and unstable, with too cracking noise with every movement in sleep from either occupant.
Location - very near khaosan road, but away from party noise. So good for a silent sleep. Good security with auto lock doors.

The owner is a friendly person. Location is good, just 500 meters from Khaosan road. There are delicious foods around. The price of hotel are also affordable and you need to pay during check in time.

the bathroom needs a bit of maintenance, but the guy said the the hostel is just opened and he try to fix things day by day so probably will be ok soon..!
the hostel is really well located, the room was nice and clean and the sheets and the towels were smelling super good! ☺️ the guy that run the hostel is very kind and helpful, we booked this hostel for two different days because we had a two days tour in kanchanaburi in the middle and he kept our big backpack in the hostel for us so we could go to the tour only with the small one. ☺️ super recommend!

Wet shower + Toilet in one
Excellent location, within 5 mins walk to Lombprayah office for connection to Koh Tao/Koh Pha-ngan islands. Amazing value for a night. Bed is very comfortable and bigger than normal hostel. Owner Yaz is very kind and friendly.

They have sent me a text just 2h before I get there that I could not stay in their place due to an issue with the bathroom. The offer me to go to another partner hostel or cancel my booking, so I decidee to go the other partner hostel. 1h after they Sent me a new message saying I could stay there, cause they fixed the problem. I understand that issues can occur, just it was a bit confusing and very short notice.
Clean space, bathroom in the room very clean. Location is great just a few meters from Khaosan Road. Was a pleasant stay only for 1 night.

no towels. the only place I stayed in Thailand where there were no towels. (it would be useful to rent it for a small fee). there is no bedside lamp next to the bed But still great value for money

It is a budget friendly stay. The location is awesome as its very close to Khaosan road. The host is very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend to solo travellers planning on partying in Khaosan.

Bathroom. There is no bathroom. We have to take a shower in the toilet which creeped me out
