    “Location was great- so close to central Pinhao and train station / boat port. You could walk to cafes and restaurants close by. The host Pedro was excellent and bought fresh bread rolls to us each day as part of our breakfast. The breakfast was basic but nice and adequate. Room was clean and tidy and bed was comfy. The apartment was dated but for the prices in Pinhao it was good value for money and a great location. The host was fantastic and assisted us to pay via PayPal as the only methods of payment are cash or paypalfor the accom”

    “The hotel is part of a winery (Quinta do Silva) and is set in a beautiful location in the Douro Valley, with 360 degree panoramic views across the hills full of terraces of vines. Nicely decorated and well equipped, with everything one needs to have a very comfortable stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful - even if they seemed a bit overworked at times…nothing was too much trouble…for example, they moved all of the dining tables and chairs from the dining room out onto the terrace, so that we could all eat outside while enjoying the beautiful evening and those views!”
