My only complaint is that at 5 o clock in the morning, the noise from vehicles delivering and collecting from the train station that was directly outside my window was awful. Impossible to sleep through.

The hotel was really lovely. The room was beautifully appointed. Great selection of toiletries and tea and coffee making facilities.

Disabled parking space has no additional space for the disabled person to get in and out of the vehicle. A wheelchair user would not be able to use this space. The area that maybe meant for this (directly in front of reception door) was filled with a large van, this also would prevent a wheelchair user from even getting into the building. This area would benefit from yellow hatching.

Property was central and very comfortable. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

We were placed on the first floor above the restaurant, and told the music would stop at 8. As it happened, there was music and noise until around 10:30. Usually this wouldn’t bother me but we were staying with our four year old son, so it wasn’t ideal!

Very comfortable, modern room, all done up very stylishly. Excellent breakfast. Friendly service. Set up a child bed for us in the room.

Minor points, the hotel car park was full on our arrival but cleared later on. Alternative paid parking near by. The TV struggled to load programs.

A welcoming, well presented and comfortable hotel. Friendly staff throughout, with an excellent restaurant / bar area. Bonus points for a very good Sunday roast. The family room that we booked was a very good size with joined rooms.

No lift and no offer to help take the luggage upstairs to the room. But then again it’s part of an experience.

The hotel was undergoing renovation which created some noise from the builders but it didn't detract from our pleasant stay.

Accommodated at very short notice. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The accommodation was comfortable and the ambience inviting.

Beautiful rooms, great location and free parking although limited, but we got parking. The staff were fantastic for a young new team. Everyone was so helpful and put right anything that needed to be made right. The food was great and overall the sustainability policy with the reclaimed wood furnishings and local sourcing of food rates very high with us. Beds were so comfortable, very clean rooms and public areas. Such a lovely place. Thank you.

Although modern and fresh feeling it didn’t feel like much thought had gone into the design of the rooms, the bathrooms in particular. Nothing major but small inconveniences which add up, for example no hooks at all in the bathroom or room so nowhere to hang towels to dry (no bathroom radiator either) or to hang coats etc. The bathroom mirror was too high so unless you’re about 6 foot you could only see the top of your head. The shower was very difficult to get into as it was above the bath and then tucked into a sort of alcove, there was no handle and I was worried I would fall. It was also extremely noisy outside on a Saturday night, not really the hotels fault but i couldn’t sleep until about 1 where the revellers dispersed.

The property was clean and modern and the staff were helpful and friendly.

Chaotic checkout with multiple mistakes on bill. I also don't like service charge being added without adequate notice on menu. 12./5% is too much - 10% is the maximum acceptable, and it needs to be discretionary. I may be grumpy about this, but it is inappropriate to add a service charge which is hidden or coercive. I prefer to tip the individual for their service rather than rely on the business to pass on the bonus to the staff as so many businesses do not do this. You may say you do, but how do I know that? Also £95 for one starter, two main courses and one sweet (good quality) is a little high! It isnt very well signposted - look for the signs to the station which is adjacent. (Very quiet trains - we didn't notice them)
