At some point something must have been poured down the toilet, as there was a residue in the bowl that looked almost like concrete. Quite early on departure day, the fire alarm in my room went off. As I opened the door, I saw a member of staff and asked if there was a drill. She didn't know, but it must have been a fault as it wasn't necessary to evacuate.

I arrived about an hour before the official check-in time, but they were able to give me a room straight away, which was welcome after a long journey. The room was clean and comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities, air conditioning, an iron and hairdryer.

Room was stuffy - no air flow. AC would not work- had a fault code.

Facilities were great- gym, pool and restaurant. Check in and Check out was very simple.

Inaccurate info about the shuttle bus. We needed to catch a bus to the hotel FROM T2. The information provided stated H2B but the correct bus was H2C. The H2C bus was the route from the hotel not TO the hotel. Plus the information stated that the buses came every 15-20 mins when in fact they were every hour.

Lots… sorry… we were in a disability room , that had only just been cleaned, the floors were very wet. Showers in a disabled area are not comfortable to use for us. Water goes everywhere and standing on the big plug hole hurts feet. The shampoo and soap dispensers and very difficult to get some out. I think the conditioner was empty. We ran out of toilet paper, and had one towel. We asked housekeeping but no response. I had to get dressed at 6am to go find these supplies. I find it rather cheap to have 2 teabags only and no biscuit. ! The adjoining room had a lot of banging doors and although ravyou don’t hear airport/aircraft noise you certainly hear the doors nearby bang shut. The staff are pleasant but way too busy. As you are a conference centre and handle group travellers, others get the cold shoulder. Reception area was rather chaotic. We pay big $ for the convenience, and that aspect is appreciated. However, when you are arrived off a long haul flight you just want your room. $60 AU for a mediocre burger and chips and a beer is outrageous. Also I received about 5 emails per day all offering your services and extra payment for extra services. There should be a way of asking or noting it is just a one night quick stop with no other requirements.

Rip off taxi fare to airport

No one to speak to at the foyer. Average rooms but good value . One towel only for two people. The big turn of and really big was our room smelled badly of smoke and vapes and if we hadn’t been so hustled at checkin or we had time we would have moved rooms or hotels .

We were told on two occasions we could just walk into the restaurant and when we arrived on the Wednesday evening we were told they were not seating any one because they were too busy - we ended up eating in the bar. On the Thursday evening service was v slow
