The water seemed to take a while to get hot in the shower & bath.

Loved the location and the general feel of the cottage. Bunk beds were a big highlight for the kids! Really good communication from very nice owners. Kitchen well equipped with appliances and utensils.

The heater was very noisy. It was impossible to sit in the kitchen with it on. The contacts said that their electrician was waiting for some parts. The furniture needed re upholstering as it was stained and the cleaner needs to clean under cupboards etc. The bed was the biggest disappointment. Size was good but the inner spring mattress was well past its used by date. It was noisy lumpy and impossible not to get stuck in the dips where previous punters had sat and flattened springs. I would suggest getting rid of the bath and replacing it with a clothes washer.

Some issues initially to do with cleaning- there was a mix up with the cleaner and heat not getting through to upstairs radiators both resolved quite quickly and satisfactorily. A loose aerial banging about on the roof/side of the building kept me awake for the two nights I was there, but there was very stormy weather and heavy rain which probably caused it.

Cosy quiet location close to restaurants shops and beaches/harbour. Parking right outside the door. Good communication with the hosts to resolve issues

It’s hard to say anything bad as this place was just what we were looking for, could do with a clock in the living room and a mirror in the main bedroom.

The location is amazing perfect access to the beach and brilliant parking for the car.

Ikea matrices might be okay for children but for an adults need more spring easy fix would be matrice protector for extra padding. Once you navigate the stairs with low ceiling (bang your head for taller folk) the rest was great. Would highly recommend leaving a stick vac and a washer dryer combo would fit in kitchen and a clothesline outside like all the other units would really help finish of the whole experience.

There is an issue with the drainage at this and the adjoining cottages, raw sewage overflowed from the three separate manhole covers on at least four occasions during our stay, we were unable to leave the windows open as a result, the smell was horrendous, also had to avoid standing in it outside! Not a new issue as you can see where previous spills have happened!

Fantastic location with a designated parking space, easy for exploring St Ives.

Some work required on skylights which do not close ( we could not get them to close) and meant rain and detritus ingress. A thorough clean and redecoration in places would be good.

House could do with a deep clean, especially shower room. Some repairs required; blinds on velux windows broken, extractor fan in bathroom not working, loose toilet seat, loose/peeling paintwork in places. Kitchen and front door could have curtain or blind.

Location was excellent. Private parking outside the house was a real bonus. House was well equipped.

Cottage was cold when we arrived and heating needed attention. Water for showers was cool. Owner acted when told. Cleaning needed to be more thorough and stains on carpet and sofa were off-putting.

Location was fantastic. Accommodation for a couple and two children was perfect. Well equipped and bedding and towels were pristine. Parking a real bonus and you could walk everywhere. Lovely bakery two minutes away and great shops nearby.

Uncomfortable sofa No blind on door from outside to lounge Only three bowls in kitchen cupboard so if you come as a group, bring your own! Sharing lounge with a vacuum cleaner! No coffee table Broken blinds in bathroom and bedroom. Couldn’t get terrestrial telly but it did have Netflix etc. Everything was tired and the whole place needs some love!
