Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesParking a little confusing...garage for the hotel is on the street behind the hotel, and I parked in the wrong ramp. Perhaps it was my fault as I didn't remember to write down the address of the garage for the hotel.
The hotel was relatively easy to find and close to many of the locations we wanted to see. Facilities were very clean. Darrell at the bar is a gem...really made us feel welcomed.

Great location, staff and check in. We got there early and was able to check in straight away which meant we were able to do more sightseeing which was fab.

United StatesI was extremely unhappy about the incident that took place the morning of Friday, May 17th in the dining room. There was some confusion regarding my credit card on file; and as a result, payment could not be processed. I was asked very rudely by the attendant if my card was ALRIGHT. As if to suggest that I was using an over the limit credit card. Then; a supervisor came and abruptly took me to the front desk and further embarrassed me with the agent on duty. She finally admitted that the issue was HER ERROR because I had switched credit cards on file; and she had BLOCKED the new card by mistake. I received a feeble apology. However; I was already insulted and extremely unhappy with the manner in which the supervisor spoke to me and treated me. He was arrogant and cocky; and acted in a very DEMEANING manner towards me. He NEVER apologized to me for the incident; and the way that he spoke to me. The amount of my breakfast check was a mere $14.73. Employees should NEVER speak to an honest and well intentioned guest in the rude and disrespectful manner that he used. You NEVER ACCUSE a person of ill intent and act as if they are GUILTY of wrong intentions or fraud. I would like the matter investigated; and the male supervisor held accountable and spoken to for his derogatory remarks and actions. It occurred on Friday, 5/17/24 at approximately 9:30 or 9:45 am. His actions were seriously INAPPROPRIATE and RUDE. This sort of action should NEVER happen again. I was deeply offended by this incident; and it had an affect on my opinion of the staff . He needs to be RETRAINED in customer relations; and learn how to TACTFULLY handle any further issues of this sort.
The facility was very modern and well maintained. Attractive appointments; and attention to detail. Bathroom was spacious. However; There needs to be a GRAB BAR IN THE SHOWER to prevent falling. My cleaning person Amada was EXCELLENT. She kept my room IMMACULATE. For the most part; the front desk staff was very efficient and accommodating .
