Situated in Askham in the Northern Cape region, Duiker's self catering Accommodation features accommodation with free private parking. The property has garden and inner courtyard views. Great place to stay in a very small town. Exceptional hosts that made us feel very comfortable and showed us great hospitality. They told us a lot about the locals and how each person plays their part in the community and how it is to live in such a small and remote town. Attention to detail and focusing on the small things...they provided a bag of ice, a necessity for a nice cool refreshment during the extreme climate days to which the Kalahari is known for. Small bottles of fresh cold milk with homemade rusks for that feel at home experience. Plenty of firewood to enjoy a true Kalahari campfire and even insect repellent to put the Kalahari mosquitoes at ease. Freshly washed towels and bedding for a very comfortable stay.

Kalahari Camelthorn Guesthouse and Camping is situated in Askham and has a pool with a view and garden views. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. The service of our hosts extended way beyond just the accommodation. Everyone was super friendly and the location near the National Park was a huge advantage. We even got exceptional help and advice for my daughter who fell sick. We will stay at Camelthorn every trip to the park.

This place is absolutely idealfor couple, family and friends. The room is clean and big, the beds are confortable. You are in the middle of desert and during the night you hear just wind/birds. Animals are sundered and it takes 1 hour (with a normal car 1hour and half) to go to kgalagadi n. P. The common space is huge and well-equipped. We have all we need.

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace, Kalahari Cottage is situated 60 km from Askham. What a beautiful spot in the Kalahari. The communication was perfect, the house equiped with everything you need and spotless clean. Unfortunately I was on my own, next time I hope my family will be with me, and we can stay a bit länger.
