Everything! The bungalow was nice and clean, the whole venue and it’s facilities were great. A nice sized gym and also a pool to take a dip in. The customer service was excellent (especially thanks to Joe) and every meal we ate there was very delicious. All in all I would stay there again many times over if I return to Dakar.

I would recommend this place for anyone to stay at. The staff were exceptionally helpful especially for me as an English speaker. They went above and beyond to help me get cabs and navigate the city. The rooftop restaurant has a really nice vibe and the food is good and reasonably priced. My room was clean with great air conditioning. The room was fully enclosed, so no bugs and the hot water was great. Breakfast included with the price of the room was good with a fair amount of food options. I felt safe and wasn't concerned about my belongings when I left. They have a beautiful courtyard in the centre of the building and I woke up to the most beautiful sounds of birds singing in the trees. My only disappointment was that I couldn't stay at casa mara for my whole trip as they were fully booked. Just a note that they do not accept credit card for payment. They like to receive payment in XOF. If you have a busy work schedule, it is better to change your money at the airport before arriving to the hotel if you won't have extra time (the rates were comparable to on the street). Going to the bank to change money was time consuming!

This magical hotel was on the beach - one really could not see what it was from the road. It was a beach resort within the city. Our room overlooked the sea and was very comfortable. But the highlight were the dinners at their restaurant-bar on the coast. I just loved their cocktails and the food. We also enjoyed seeing the local Sengalese business workers come for meetings at the hotel, dressed in their colored silk suits and matching shoes and the women in the most beautiful, color-splashed and coordinated outfits and a matching headresses. I have never seen such high fashion in any other African country.

La Résidence is located 50 metres from the sea in Dakar and a 15-minute walk from the city centre. Sparkling clean, great location, well maintained garden and pool and courteous staff - overall great stay at La Residence. I was worried at first because I couldn't find photos of the bathrooms but everything was perfect. Thank you to the team, I will be back!

Set in the Jambaars district, Rysara Hotel is just 5-minutes from Dakar beaches. The hotel is ideally located to explore the city’s mix of original and modern architecture. The staff were friendly and responsive. The rooms were beautiful.
