Set in Alba Iulia, 31 km from Câlnic Citadel, Hotel Aura Unirii offers accommodation with a terrace, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The check-in and check-out experiences were quick and easy. As there was no elevator, the receptionist offered to carry our luggage. We really enjoyed the tasty breakfast as well. There was a good variety of croissants and pastries, cereal, and multiple options of cooked eggs (fried or various omelets). The eggs were made on the spot, which was really nice. The location is excellent, being literally across the street from the first 3 gates of the citadel. Both the citadel and the two shopping malls are well within walking distance. The rooms were spacious and had all the amenities we needed, including bathrobes and towels for the spa. The beds were really comfortable, on the more rigid side, which was definitely a plus.

Located in Alba Iulia and with Alba Iulia Citadel - The Third Gate reachable within 1.2 km, Casa cu Nuc GRILL&POOL provides express check-in and check-out, non-smoking rooms, a shared lounge, free... Super clean, big rooms (we stayed in an apartment), quiet area, very close to the Citadel (10-15 mins walking distance). The hosts were providing a lot of guidance wrt restaurants (the first one recommended was really great) and POIs. I would for sure recommend Casa cu Nuc.

We enjoyed the location very much, as well as the property itself. It has a huuuge garden to walk in, is very close to the Mures river, as well as the old fortified church and really a pleasure to wander.
