Located in Yanque, 11 km from Bus Station, Hotel Puerta del Sol Colca provides accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. A brand new hotel with superb views over the Colca Canyon. The restaurant overlooking the valley and mountains beyond is very good, with the alpaca dishes being particularly tasty. There was a better than average selection for breakfast, and service was attentive but not intrusive. The barman (whose name I didn't catch, sadly) mixes a very decent Pisco Sour. There is parking to the rear of the building. The staff (particularly Gaudi the receptionist/concierge) were friendly and genuinely seemed to want us to have a great time. Apparently there is a also sauna, but we didn't use it. The room was very comfortable, with an open (gas) fire and spa bath,. The kettle was a welcome addition.

Set in Chivay, 200 metres from Chivay Arena, Colibrí Inn offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. We had a great stay at Colibri Inn, the bed was massive and very comfy, and they gave us jugs of hot water and tea/coffee to make in the room which was great. The absolute best part though was Lizbeth, who greeted us on reception, went out of her way to help us arrange a private taxi tour to see the condors at Colca Canyon, made us an early breakfast before we left and stored our bags for us while we were gone! She was brilliant and is a credit to the hotel.

Set in Chivay, within 100 metres of Chivay Arena and 200 metres of Bus Station, Colca Canyon Hotel offers accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi throughout the property as well as free private... The furnitures are very new. I love the quality of towels. The room has a balcony too and I really enjoyed the sunset there. The grandparents running the hotel are the warmest people. I was quite upset at a tour agency upon arrival. They kept checking on me when I’m downstairs to make sure I’m ok. And they told the guide to look after me. It’s so nice to have people like this when travelling overseas.

Highly recommended place to stay.
