From arriving super early and asking to leave my luggage I received an extremely warm welcome and was surprised to be able to check in .... All the staff were really friendly and very helpful. Located in Cambridge, 25 km from Mystery Creek Events Centre and 34 km from Hamilton Gardens, Maungatautari Outlook Cambridge offers a garden and air conditioning. It's spacious with everything that you require to stay for a couple of nights. The property is very well kept and tidy and perfect if you like wildlife. The hosts are great and friendly, checking in via text to make sure everything is ok with the unit. Nice and close to Cambridge and carparking under cover if you are paticular about keeping the car clean. The heatpump keeps the whole unit warm, however being a relatively new build it was warm without the heatpump on. The unit is great for kids and the friendly Tui will keep them entertained. This is the second time I have stayed and will continue to do so.

The view out the back onto an open field was amazing. We did some star gazing and got some amazing pictures. It is also very close to Hobbiton, which we went to in the morning.

It is a small, elegant, and beautiful accommodation space. Penny prepared many New Zealand locally-produced tea, coffee, chocolate drinks, and biscuits. Even the bathroom supplies are made in New Zealand, such as shampoo and soap! The room is equipped with a TV that can access the internet, allowing us to search for TV programs we want to watch on YouTube. Laurie and Penny not only recommended excellent local restaurants, but also kindly reminded us of the time changes during the daylight saving. I have to say, the breakfast bags prepared by Penny gave us a good mood after setting off. The chocolate muffins and blueberry muffins, along with fruit yogurt and juice, were a perfect combination.
