Set beside Picton Harbour, this stylish and modern hotel provides a great base to explore the dramatic local coastline and New Zealand's wine country. We wish we stayed longer! Great accommodations, fun town, easy access to the ocean, and breakfast was amazing!

Just 15 minutes by boat from Picton, The Portage Resort offers rooms with a private balcony or patio and features stunning views of the Marlborough Sounds.You can relax by the outdoor pool, go fishing... The hotel is under new management and I could not fault it. The staff were welcoming, attentive and super friendly. The reception and restaurant area looked newly renovated and was modern and fresh. My meal in the restaurant was very tasty. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I slept well. And the General Manager very kindly dropped me back to the start of the QC track in the morning. Plus the sunset view from the bar is breathtaking. Don’t be put off By the bad reviews - the new management seem to be doing a fantastic job!

Boasting garden views, Boathouse Apartments features accommodation with patio, around 600 metres from Picton Memorial Park Beach. The apartment was extremely well equipped and quite large. All the appliances were brand new, and the hosts had ensured that all instruction manuals for the electrical equipment were easy to access. The apartment was not located in the actual town centre which was a positive as it was very quiet, but was only a five minute walk through the marina to the town centre. There was ample parking space and there were a host of walking trails on the doorstep.

Offering quiet street views, Country Cottage Rotorua is an accommodation set in Whakatahuri, 22 km from Tikitere - Hell's Gate Thermal Park and 26 km from Buried Village. Felt welcomed. Host was very pleasant! Nice surroundings. We really liked description of the animals living on the property. The house itself felt spacious and had everything we needed. Overall it was a nice stay. Also the location is great with a car because it is further away from busy town and is very calm and felt private.
