White Heron Motor Lodge is just 2 minutes' drive from the centre of Gisborne and 7 minutes' drive from the beach and the airport. How close it was to everything. It was so modern and like a home away from home.

I cannot eat gluten and the staff bought gluten free bread and muesli for my breakfast, much appreciated. The terrace is fantastic for breakfast.

Beautiful , quiet house and room. Extremely comfortable bed and stylishly furnished room. Breakfast was high quality and eggs cooked to order. Jane is a wonderful host and recommended two great restaurants. We had a view of the river from our room Tolaga. The wine, coffee and snacks available in the guests kitchen made it extremely good value. Highly recommend
