Yggdrasil Farmhotel Retreat, Spa & Yoga is located on Kvaløya island, 50-minutes drive from central Tromsø. Free WiFi access is available at the farm. I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel in the countryside of Tromso, Norway, and it was truly an exceptional experience. The hotel was located in a stunningly beautiful area, surrounded by lush forests and snow-capped mountains, and the peaceful surroundings made for a truly relaxing getaway. One of the standout features of this hotel was the exceptional local food served in their restaurant. The meals were prepared using the freshest local ingredients, with many of the vegetables and herbs grown on-site. The menu featured a variety of traditional Norwegian dishes with a modern twist, and each course was a work of art on the plate. The flavors were absolutely delicious, and the presentation was impeccable. The staff were also incredibly welcoming and helpful, with great recommendations for local activities and excursions in the area. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tromso, especially those looking for a peaceful countryside getaway with exceptional local food. It was truly a magical experience, and I can't wait to return.

A cozy hotel, with a old traditional restaurant with home-made local food. Vollan Gjestestue is located in Nordkjosbotn. Free WiFi access is available. Free coffee/tea/hot cocoa makes really a difference during stormy weather when you can’t go out! Great buffet breakfast. Plus value of having the restaurant inside the hotel at any time (the only one in the area!) Cute room. Nice location with mountains around

Very close to the city centre, convenient for us to walk around Tromsø. The room is clean, we stay at level one which is just beside the walkway, might be a bit noisy when someone walks pass. Overall it is good, for convenience and the price I will stay again.

Dating back to the mid-1700s, this elegant waterfront hotel is on Hinnøya Island, by Tjeldsundet Strait. It offers fine dining, free Wi-Fi internet access, and free private parking. Excellent breakfast. The dinner was more than excellent. The checking was easy. The staff of two men was outstanding. This a very informal and casual situation and there is someone available at any time. The setting is on the water and spectacular. One member of our party required gluten and dairy free food. This was not a problem as they had food for her wirh no advanced notice. This is an old property kept in excellent condition. We will be back on our next trip to Norway. We have been to Norway 10 times and this is one of the best places we have stayed at. Incidentally the property is not in Harstad but is on E6. I highly recommend this property
