Surrounded by the Arctic wilderness, Snowhotel Kirkenes stands as a testament to innovation and adventure, offering an unforgettable experience year-round. Our stay at the Snowhotel was the highlight of our trip to Norway! The staff were all so welcoming and they really take customer service seriously, from the receptionists to the restaurant waiters, the mushers and the guides, they made us feel special. We stayed the first night in the snow hotel in the first room with the fireplace. We were given a tour of the facilities and an explanation on how to sleep on the ice beds in the sleeping bags. We were afraid we would be cold but the sleeping bags were actually quite warm and you also get woolen socks and balaclavas. We had quite a comfortable sleep and it was certainly a once in a lifetime experience to try! The snow hotel itself is a work of art, each room is unique and there is an ice bar as well which serves drinks in ice glasses. It's definitely worth a visit even if you don't spend the night there. On the second night we stayed in one of the Gamme cabins, which are very comfortable and have a huge glass window perfect to look out for the aurora. The breakfast buffet and set dinner were delicious, serving local dishes such as reindeer steak, arctic char and king crab salad. They also cater to dietary preferences if you inform them in advance. Lunch is available at the Gabba restaurant, the choices a bit limited, but we enjoyed the free-flowing hot berry juice there. There is also tea & coffee in the lounge available for guests throughout the day. For activities, we highly recommend the husky safari, snowmobile tour and the Sami meet-up - it's hard to pick our favorite as they were all incredible experiences. You can borrow thermal overalls and boots for these activities, as well as skis, sledges and snow shoes.

Lo Scandic Kirkenes sorge a 150 metri dall'entrata della strada pedonale Dr. la posizione è centrale ma d'altronde Kirkenes è piuttosto piccola quindi non è così difficile. la camera era spaziosa, pulita, luminosa e silenziosa, provvista di un tavolo con sedia e una poltrona. il personale è gentile e disponibile. la colazione è eccellente con un'ampia scelta. nella lobby ci sono diversi spazi comuni adatti per lavorare o rilassarsi. c'è un servizio di shuttle per l'aeroporto

Stanza non molto spaziosa ma di nuova realizzazione, così come il bagno nuovissimo e la doccia molto ampia. In 2 persone con le valigie si fa un po’ fatica a muoversi ma siamo rimasti solo una notte x cui ci siamo adeguati. L’hotel è parecchio distante dal centro ma proprio sulla baia x cui in buona posizione.

Looks plain on the outside but is very nicely decorated on the inside. Rooms are quiet and furnished with style. Loved the sapmi wall-photos! Abundant self service breakfast!

Situato a Jakobselv, il Lille Chili Vestre Jakobselv offre un bar, un barbecue e una terrazza. What a super little place this is. Great location for the Varanger scenic route and for a quick dash to the Russian border (actually the road there goes through an astonishing and rapidly changing landscape), not to mention many local beaches and the azure blue sea. The food in the restaurant was great and the breakfast very adequate. But above all that, the staff were really helpful, friendly and accommodating. An added bonus are the destination chargers. Plus the room was spotlessly clean and comfortable.
