Rooms were clean and tidy. Staff were very helpful and went over and beyond helping me when I needed to book for another few nights even though it was a busy time and close to check out. Fab to have the option to eat in the hotel restaurant and a roof top drink. Fab location to walk around Kyoto. We did about 20,000 steps every day!

We have been traveling to Kyoto several times this past year and go to this hotel regularly. Our stay was this time again great, the hotel staff very nice and helpful, the room was spacious and had a beautiful view over the roofs of Kyoto with mountains in the background, the shuttle very helpful. The possibility to rent bicycles directly from the hotel is also convenient.

It is hard to fault the hotel Kanra in Kyoto. From the moment you walk in the doors the hotel feels luxurious and calming. The staff are helpful and made our stay seem less and easy giving recommendations and guidance. The rooms are large and beautifully fit out. The highlight of the stay is the bathroom fit out with the beautiful bathtub.

It was close to the central train station. It was close to a few convenient stores and was also close to some of the past establishments we went to last time. If ever you get hungry you can just walk a few meters and go down the subway to find a few restaurants and coffee shops. It you walk a little further you can reach the main station to find even more shops. This location is very ideal. We will book this place again next t time. It was a small APA branch so there was not a long wait at the elevators. The front desk staff was very helpful in last minute request for my mom and sister/s room to be moved to a corner unit. They were also able to transfer me to a different room when i complained of noise. They are also helpful in arranging our luggage delivery to Osaka and gave us a discount.
