The hotel is near to all the main locations on the Golden Circle. The room was clean and very nice. The hot tubs outdoors were a nice touch to our Icelandic trip.

Bed is very comfortable, shower a bit tricky to mount but good amount of water coming from it. Big room and there were coffee, hot chocolate and cookies self-serviced all day.

It is an exceptional hotel. Already by entering the very cosy main hall we felt very well kept. The rooms are very clean and well (almost) luxury equipped. We really liked the sticked out window, were you can sit and look out into the landscape.

Set in Hvolsvöllur, 7.7 km from Seljalandsfoss, Hotel Selja offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a restaurant. The location was excellent, close enough to the main road, but far enough so that it was the best location where we saw the northern lights, just outside our room. Breakfast was quite ok, the mushroom soup for dinner was DELICIOUS, the staff was very nice and helpful and the view from the room ... wow. We'll definitely stay here again next time.

Have rarely met so lovely, accommodating and genuinely kind people - even at other 5* hotels. Always with a smile and ready to help. Rooms are fantastic with great views of the horse stables and endless greenery. Very comfortable beds with down pillows/duvets in elegantly decorated rooms. The food was outstanding - we had 2 lunches and 2 dinners there. Highly recommend!
