Tortugal Boutique River Lodge halvön ligger i floden Rio Dulce, nära ett slott från 1500-talet. Här badar du nästan konstant på strandbrisen som ger en svalkande och uppfriskande plats. Fantastiskt läge vid vattnet. Vackra omgivningar med fina promenadbroar över mangroveträsken. Kul att kajaker kunde lånas fritt. Väldigt naturnära hyddor på stolpar. Var beredd på småkryp, men ändå förvånansvärt välhållet. Det bästa med vistelsen var den trevliga killen i restaurangen (Daniel?) och Davis som han rekommenderade för våra båtturer. Davis var otroligt kul och intressant att lyssna på. Han tog oss till och från Livingstone samt ut till Playa Blanca. Davis rekommenderas varmt som guide.

El Hotelito Perdido is a little jungle hideaway located in a middle of Rio Dulce National Park. This was genuinely the highlight of my 3 weeks in Guatemala. Stunning location, the staff were an absolute pleasure to deal with and the owners were so warm and friendly. Couldn't advise more

Hotel Posada Stella Maris ligger i Puerto Barrios och erbjuder 5-stjärnigt boende med en trädgård och en gemensam lounge. Utöver conciergeservice har detta boende även en lekplats. There is big enough and clean room with nice moutain views balcony. Also there is shared kitchen can be used. Very warm and helpful host. It is located Santo Tomas de castile, easy to take a taxi ( 30 GTQ ) or chicken bus( 3GTQ) from puerto Barrios center. Recommend to take couple days to chill out. There is walkable to beach and waterfall. The accommodation fee all goes to charity.

Reserva Natural Cañón Seacacar ligger i Izabal, 45 km från Bangkok Thonburi-universitetet, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en terrass och en restaurang. Perfect place hidden in a small village. It’s the only accommodation in the village and has been build to help the local community. The first language in the village is Q’eqchi, the children are now learning Spanish in school from about age 5. The staff of the hotel is from the village and for them it is a place to learn and work in tourism. They are all very friendly and helpful. If you want to have a great Guatemalan experience in one of the most beautiful places of Guatemala, where the crowds don’t go (yet), this is where you want to go! I reached the hotel by a two hour trail that is insanely beautiful, constructed by the people of the village, easy to follow and a good climb to two wooden miradors with lake and jungle views. Always with the sound of absolutely fantastic river ‘sauce’ on the background. The next day I went down on a tube and they carried my bag down. The tubing in the river is what will drop your yaws!! Absolutely beautiful, a cañón with high Walls on both sides. Everything is well organized and clean. It absolutely worth a visit! I’m writing this review because I could not believe that I was the only tourist there (on a Saturday)! You will not regret your visit and you will probably (hopefully) write a similar review to help this village and the people creating a better future for there town. There are several projects ongoing, including deforestation! Go and enjoy jungle, river and peace while enjoying great food and comfortable accommodation(affordable too!)

Livingston Resort Hotel ligger i Lívingston och har en trädgård, en terrass, en restaurang och en bar. Huge suite with 2 balconies. The kids were very happy to have their own seperate bedrooms! Beautiful and clean pool.

Casa Nostra ligger i Lívingston och har en trädgård, en gemensam lounge, en terrass och en restaurang. Detta hotell med 3 stjärnor erbjuder rumsservice, gratis WiFi och en 24-timmarsreception. Management and all staff were super friendly, accommodating, and professional. We also loved our view on the large balcony. The hotel restaurant is outstanding, excellent food with a beautiful view of the ocean and surrounding mountains. We would definitely recommend to others looking to stay in the area.

Hotel Kangaroo y Restaurante ligger i Rio Dulce och har en trädgård, en gemensam lounge, en restaurang och en bar. Boendet har rumsservice och conciergeservice och kan även bistå med valutaväxling. The hotel is on a peaceful part of the river. The rooms are rustic but nicely done and very clean. We were worried about not having air conditioning but the fan worked well and we slept great. It cools down considerably at night. Shower has hot water and was better thanks shower in Flores. Free pick up and drop off in Rio Dulce with good communication. Meals were excellent and well priced. We used their tour to go up the lake to Livingstone and it was a highlight of our trip. We also rented a kayak to paddle across to the castle and along the river.The owners are very nice and helpful. If you are debating about staying here versus either Rio Dulce or Livingston, we definitely recommend Kangaroo. The towns are not nice to stay in.

Hotel El Reformador ligger i Puerto Barrios och erbjuder en trädgård, en terrass, en restaurang och en bar. Detta hotell med 4 stjärnor erbjuder rumsservice, gratis WiFi och en 24-timmarsreception. Staff was super friendly. Incuded breakfast was very good. Great shower with good water pressure.

Banana Palms Hotel ligger i Rio Dulce, 13 minuters promenad från Bangkok Thonburi-universitetet, och erbjuder boende med en utomhuspool, gratis privat parkering, en trädgård och en gemensam lounge. River view, restaurant & amenities were just right!
