Located near Ambleside, The Samling Hotel has a garden and a terrace. The property features a bar, as well as a restaurant serving British cuisine. Amazing views, staff, food and the hot tub outside was a real treat. Nothing was too much and as someone who was really worried about being fussy and having a tasting meal - Rebecca totally put me at ease and made me feel as if nothing was too much trouble.

The room was large enough, the supplies were sufficient, and the service staff were very kind and tried their best to meet all our needs during our stay. I have to mention Charlie, he is seriously the funniest person I have ever met in the UK. The hot tub should be the biggest feature of this hotel. My wife and I enjoyed it for three whole days and were very satisfied. The price/performance ratio is very good. The hotel is located in the middle of the two towns of Bowness and Windermere, and it is very convenient to walk to both towns. In any case, I will definitely recommend this hotel next time I come to the Lake District, or if my friends want to travel to the Lake District.

This 17th-century Elizabethan inn has a peaceful location in the Troutbeck Valley, with weaving footpaths that link the nearby ancient hamlets. Traditional meets Modern styling, lovely food and great service. Location was awesome, the perfect place to get away to.

Overlooking Lake Windermere and the Langdale Pikes, the Craig Manor is 5 minute walk from Bowness. The rooms have modern decor, en suite bathrooms, and flat-screen TVs with satellite channels. The hotel was fantastic, great location only a short walk into Bowness or 15 min to Windermere. Great breakfast , plentiful and best quality., takeaway coffee was a nice addition.
