By Ullswater Lake, Patterdale Hotel offers home-cooked food, a garden terrace and lounges with fireplaces. Hotel Patterdale is between 2 scenic mountain ranges. The staff the hotel and the setting are all absolutely amazing. We were taken great care of and the food was to die for. I highly highly recommend this hotel to anyone spending time here in Glenridding.

Barton Hall Country House er gististaður með garðútsýni í Pooley Bridge, 30 km frá Derwentwater og 37 km frá World of Beatrix Potter. Lovely accommodation and staff. Barton Hall has loads of character. Breakfast was excellent. Nice little discovery, will definitely be back!

Lovely, friendly hosts, cozy resident lounge with log fire, stunning views, lovely character room with ensuite, great recommendation for dinner (Travellers Rest Inn, an easy, pretty flat walk apart from short incline at the end), fabulous breakfast.....and stayed in Alfred Wainwright's room apparently!

Gististaðurinn er með aðgang að verönd og ókeypis einkabílastæði.... We had a wonderful stay. The whole place is quite romantic and relaxed. Decoration is very good and has a bit of history, that the host will tell you about. The bedroom has a bathroom (with a big bathtub) and another one with just a toilet, a small living room with TV and sofas, and a room with two twin bed, that they kindly displayed together since we were a couple. Toiletries, towels and bathrobes were provided and good quality. Everything was quite clean. The place is very quiet, no noise whatsoever and quite close to Ullswater. The hosts were amazing, giving us plenty of suggestions of what to do around the area, they respect your privacy while being completely available. You have a place to park easily, and the hosts gave accurate directions. Honestly my favourite part was the breakfast which was excellent!! Probably the best breakfast I ever had on a hotel/BB! Everything was very fresh and made with excellent ingredients - you have a time slot and let them know what you want in advance (you have several options) and they will cook in for that time, so everything is fresh and warm. We were very glad we chose this place and would definitely stay again.

Excellent food, incredibly friendly and warm hosts. Everything was spotless, the bathroom was spacious and the water pressure divine. The hosts had an excellent attention to detail and care. We also got a locally made wool blanket and socks from the shop on the property. Those are now my all time favorite socks thanks to the beautifully soft and fluffy wool.
