"Located in the coastal resort town of Montrose, Grey Harlings is a family run hotel offering relaxing and cosy stays. Everything was great. The rooms were clean and cozy. Staff was super nice and it was great to have a beer and hang out in the lounge area.

Staff made us feel very welcome and saved us a table for dinner at the restaurant. We had Smokie (freshly smoked fish), which is a local specialty and it was excellent! The room was located on the first floor right above the restaurant, and although we could hear other guests entering their rooms, it was very quiet otherwise and the noise from the restaurant could not be heard. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. Breakfast could be put together individually. They offered a broad array of options ranging from Scottish breakfast items to cereal or porridge. The food was very delicious.

Located in the beautiful small village of Edzell, The Panmure Arms Hotel offers bed and free WiFi. The hotel is 40 miles away from Aberdeen and Dundee, and 10 miles from Montrose and the rail station.... Friendly and helpful staff. Good location on high street. Had Mckewans beer on tap. They were renovating while we were there which made some public areas closed
