We stayed in the Kolod room at Kato Waidi and it was beautiful! The room, the property and the entire Nubian village is colourfully decorated. The room was a decent size, fabulously decorated and its domed roof made for the strangest acoustics (worth having a play with if you're staying with someone else!). The bathroom was small and the shower was almost directly over the toilet but this oddly was not an issue as it was not cramped at all and the water on the floor drains and dries up very quickly. Everything was very clean. We loved having meals in the outdoor dining area. The dogs and cats on the property were very entertaining and a highlight of the stay. The Egyptian food was nice too. The Nubian market is directly outside the entrance of the property and is a great way to spend a bit of time. There was also an ATM right outside the hotel entrance which was handy. The manager is so easy going and attentive. He ensured our room was available even though we arrived very early and even had breakfast made for us even though it was well past breakfast time! And also very kindly organised a private sunset boat ride from the property which was great. He also took care of the airport transfers. We paid for everything at the end of our stay which made things so much easier as we just added things onto our tab as we went along. The value for money here was fantastic. If we had more time we would have also taken a felucca boat ride with picnic.

Beautiful hotel, very dreamy and romantic. the terrace for dinner and drinks has amazing view, the rooms are cosy and clean with amazing terrace and private pool. The staff is super nice, it was our anniversary and they surprised us with an room upgrade and chocolate cake! perfect place to relax and recharge. Philae temple is right next to it and very close for a day trip. Food was good, and prices in the bar are not too expensive.

Kendaka Nubian House er 2 stjörnu gististaður í Aswan, 19 km frá Aga Khan-grafhýsinu. Boðið er upp á verönd, veitingastað og bar. hospitality was amazing. we got give a free upgrade. we lost our bags from our flight and hotel sorted collecting/ finding them. we checked out early so could not make breakfast so they have us take away breakfast. would definitely recommend if staying in Aswan

The view from the balcony is beautiful. The staff is the best, always there if you need something. It’s a great place.

The staff were very friendly and the food was great,fresh,delicious,and out of this world.You could also play with a small tortoise and feed it.My kids were not leaving they wanted to stay for forever.it was amazing.

Firstly the property is very big and well decorated with awesome view of the lake Naseer.Secondly the staff were very welcoming and give you a home like feeling as we got lucky to have a upgradation of the room from suite to a mini flat with various complimentary addons.Lastly the location is very close to the Abu Simbel temple and the lake as well.I would like to mention the name of the Reception manager Hany for his cordial behavior and other staff like Basma.All over it was a very pleasant stay and would like to recommend others to visit The Lagoon resort to have wonderful time. The 3 hour journey from aswan to abu simbel through the desert road was also once in a lifetime experience.

Great spot on the Nile, 10 min walk from the Nubian Village. The people around here are really friendly. Great if you're looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of the major cities. Food at the restaurant was authentic and delicious. They sell beer as well.
