Hotel Sophia is located in an upcoming neighborhood where the Tartu University of Science and Technology, as well as hospital are within a short walk away. Very spacious and clean room. Staff was very friendly. Good location as direct access to shopping centre. No fitness room but 3€ tickets to access complete gym.

Surrounded by historical environment of the Old Town of Tartu and featuring a contemporary architecture itself, hotel Lydia offers its guests to relax in SPA-lounge with a variety of saunas and... I was impressed by the modern design of the hotel, it looked superb. The room was really nice, bed was large. Shower utensils were lovely, and breakfast was nice too. I did not use the SPA area, but my colleague liked it (three saunas and a swimming pool available).

The Antonius is a luxurious boutique hotel in the heart of the old town of Tartu, directly opposite the main building of Tartu university. Tartu Town hall is 170 metres away. An amazing boutique hotel at the heart of Tartu. We enjoyed a big bathtub, central location, delicious breakfast and fine dining experience at the restaurant. Our dog was pleasantly surprised with delicious gifts personally to him.

Alatskivi Castle is a 16th century manor that's reconstruction was finished in the 19th century for Neo-Gothic style. If offers classically furnished castle rooms, with one located on the tower. We had the tower room and it was so much fun to sleep in a round bed!! My husband is two meters tall so some of the ceilings in the room were a little low; but overall we really liked the ambience and the "old" feel of the walls, ceilings, and decorations. We ate in both the restaurant and their pub and enjoyed both meals. The goat cheese butter was amazing!! Swan and his brother Sten made us feel very welcome. Our breakfast was also very good. The castle was interesting and our stay was very special.

The small and comfortable Hansa Hotel is only a few minutes away from the centre of Tartu, close to the shopping centres and the Emajögi River. Free Wi-Fi is provided. Everything.... Room was like something from a fairytale, private patio, big comfy bed. The entire hotel was filled with old stuff, like walkin through a museum. Staff friendly and serviceminded. We stayed here for 3 nights. When we return this is our number one choice.

Located in the centre of Tartu, on the edge of the Old Town, Art Hotel Pallas, renovated in May 2020, offers modern, air-conditioned rooms with an LCD TV with satellite channels and free WiFi. The sign of a first class hotel is the reception staff. They were gracious, poised, and eager to be of assistance. As a traveler in a foreign country where I do not speak the language this is especially valued. Suggestions on where to park, where to eat ( we also ask them to tell THEIR favorite restaurant), and what sights not to miss were very welcome.

Situated in Tartu, 100 metres from Tartu Town Hall, Hotel Soho features accommodation with a restaurant, a bar and private parking at an extra fee. Excellent location right in the middle of Tartu, with fee parking included makes the hotel an ideal spot for the travelers. Spacious room with the windows to the side street made for a comfortable stay. The welcome drink was a nice touch and excellent breakfast served as a perfect start into the new day.
