Set on the beach in Costa Rica’s Tortuguero National Park, El Icaco Tortuguero offer Caribbean Sea views from the common areas. You can observe the protected Green Turtle laying its eggs nearby. The room was simple but clean. The staff were very friendly and courteous. The beach was just outside the El Iaco.

Initially I was nervous about booking this location because of where is was on Google maps as it looked to be off the main path. The hotel is right besides the Soccer field, and this turned out to be great. We bought a soccer ball from the local hardware store, and my children ended up playing soccer nightly with the local kids. It was a really great experience for all of us. The hotel is clean, very secure at night, and extremely conveniently located for brining your luggage to and from the dock.

Green Macaw Hostel is located in Tortuguero. The property is set 400 metres from Tortuguero National Park. At the economy hotel, the rooms include a patio and a shared kitchen. Everything was fine. Eddil the owner was super friendly and helped a lot when staying there. Wifi worked very well, the shared bathroom was very clean and good hot water. A shared kitchen outside with some coffee and tea also available. During our stay my partner had some stomach problems and Eddil supported us a lot. I am really happy even if we were a bit unlucky during our stay. thanks a lot Eddil! ;)

Offering a year-round outdoor pool, Los Amigos Jungle Hotel is situated in Tortuguero in the Limon Region, Located 50 mtrs behind Liceo barra de Tortuguero. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We loved playing with their dog when it was around! Our mattress was comfortable and getting clean towels every day was really convenient given that things take a long time to dry in the humid weather.

Cabinas Balcon del Mar Tortuguero is just 100 metres from hiking and fishing at Tortuguero National Park. Free WiFi access is available. The beach is just steps away. Great location. Very close to the beach and national park. Short walk to town. Hammocks to rest in outside. Quiet at night. I could hear the sound of the waves. Ask for a map of the town because at first it’s a little confusing. I think mostly locals stay here. No AC but it wasn’t needed. My room had 3 beds and a fan for each bed. The proprietor used an app to translate his Spanish into English for me. I was very pleased with this place.

Surrounded by an extensive garden and located 200 metres from Tortuguero National Park, Hostal y Cabinas Tortuguero features a terrace with hammocks and free Wi-Fi throughout. Price, location, very close to the park entrance, friendly staff, coffee all day.
