A well run hostel by a “hands on” owner who has put a lot of care in creating and managing the place. Both the owner and his staff were all very friendly and interested in chatting with their guests. The owner actually works the day shift (at least the days I was there) so he was very present to ensure a good stay. There was also staff there 24 hours a day. Chillout Hostel had two common areas. One area was in front of the building (but fenced in and behind the secured entrance gate) and was a nice place to enjoy breakfast or coffee. The second area was in the back of the building (and also enclosed). There were also seven guest rooms, a combination of dorms and private rooms. The social scene was nice, but certainly not a “party hostel.” The common areas (particularly the back common area) and kitchen were closed off at 22:00 to ensure a quiet night. They reopened at 7:00 the next morning. I found the neighborhood to be safe, certainly safer than other parts of San Jose. There were restaurants and grocery stores with a few blocks of the hostel. The hostel was a fifteen to twenty minute walk to the city center.

The owners were great people and always there. They were ready to help you with anything you needed and the communication was excellent. The facilities were the same quality. The breakfast was varied and delicious. The dorm was very clean, as was the entire place, the beds were made every day and the showers cleaned the same. Each bed had a curtain which provided a lot of privacy. Overal a great place to stay and the location was excellent as well.

Ester`s Place se encuentra en Escazù. Ofrece alojamiento con jardín y terraza. Todas las habitaciones cuentan con TV de pantalla plana con canales por cable y baño privado. Ester was so welcoming and the hospitality was amazingly good. I will be booking with her again on my future trips to Costa Rica.

I love that the Hostel cater to stray cats, the facility is really nice and comfortable, it’s clean , the paintings, the way the furnitures are set up.

NATIVUS Art-Hostel se encuentra en San José, a 47 km de Parque Nacional Volcán Poás, y ofrece servicio de conserjería, habitaciones hipoalergénicas, salón de uso común, wifi gratis en todo el... Ana was very helpful and friendly. The room was almost empty so I really enjoyed a quiet night to rest of my travels. They have a space for sport and yoga mat, very good included breakfast. And everything was claen. I really liked the place.

El establecimiento In the Wind Hostel and Guesthouse se encuentra en el centro del animado y elegante distrito de San Pedro, a solo 400 metros de la Universidad de Costa Rica y de la zona de ocio... Lo que mas me gusto fue la atención del personal, la limpieza y la info del hostel para viajar por diferentes partes de Costa Rica (hay un libro con las terminal y horarios e cada lugar). Además si tienen la oportunidad, les recomiendo incluir el desayuno... muy buenos panqueques!

Centro Ecológico Montaña Verde está en Rivas, a 32 km de Cerro de la Muerte, y dispone de alojamiento con jardín, parking privado gratis, salón de uso común y terraza. Excelente atención, un bonito lugar para ir a relajarse.
