The Ryokan has well thought out shared bathrooms, toilet and a small kitchenette with a kettle, small fridge and microwave available for use. The Ryokan is very clean with fresh towels provided everyday. The host Usui san cooks breakfast and dinner daily upon request, but you are free to buy food and eat it at the Ryokan.

A Guesthouse En é uma casa de férias situada em Maki, Shiga. A estação mais próxima é a Estação JR Omi-Hachiman, localizada a 12 minutos de carro. Hiroshi the owner, and Yasu went above and beyond to make our quick stay enjoyable. This countryside home is very relaxing and met all of my expectations. Biking to the lake was unforgettable. It was the traditional experience we hoped for and was cozy and wonderful. We felt like very welcome guests at this amazing guest home! We will be back!

Perfect location to visit the countryside of Japan. This is the real Japan with Koi carpers swimming in river-like gutters and friendly helpfull villagers. On top of this, Kyoto is only half an hour away by train. We came for a nice, relaxing place to stay but got a family who was so warm and welcoming. Mizu, the hostess of Smile guesthouse is a very kind and helpful person who speaks good English. She helped and guided us to make our stay even better. The guest house is a traditional Japanese house. Beautiful and full of details. And next to that you can eat fresh strawberries at the Tanaberry farm, which is a 8 minutes walking distance. We can recommend everyone to stay here. As we immediately extended our stay the day we arrived and are planning to definitely stay again the next time we travel to Japan.

GUEST HOUSE NAGORIYA localiza-se em Hikone, a 1,7 km de Castelo de Hikone, e fornece acomodações com um bar e estacionamento privado gratuito. Hikone is so enjoyable. I borrowed a bicycle free of charge, and it was amazing to cycle around the lake, castle and downtown.

Guesthouse Shin situa-se em Omihachiman, a 37 km de Templo Enryaku-ji e a 38 km de Templo Sanzen-in. My wife and I are not young folks anymore. The trip to the bathroom during the night was somewhat difficult for us. The bedroom was on the upper floor in the lovely traditional Japanese house. The narrow stairway was challenging for us. There is ample room downstairs and perhaps owners would accommodate a request to put the bedding there.

くつき鯖街道 古民家cocco小入谷 localiza-se em Takashima, a 37 km de Templo Sanzen-in e a 44 km de Ruriko-in. The guesthouse is located around mountains area. Is totally away from the city and facilities. The guesthouse is like traveling back time. Very traditional guesthouse. Fresh air and very quiet surrounding. You can just walk around the area and enjoy the peace. We are even been treated with Purin (プリン) by the host before we said goodbye.

Farm stay inn Sanzaemon-tei 母屋GuestHouse Shiga-Takasima Traditional Japanese architecture house encontra-se em Takashima, a 50 km de Templo Sanzen-in e a 27 km de Omimaiko Beach. Excellent stay at this beautiful guest house during our cycle around Lake Biwa! It's an absolute gem of a place. The property itself is very well maintained, with traditional features throughout (such as the tatami room and the Kotatsu in the living room). The owners were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back! Highly recommended.
