The hostel is really well maintained and clean including the shared bathroom (one of the best i had in an hostel), the owner is really nice and helpful. I didn't use the kitchen but it seemed very comfortable and clean to use.

It was great and enjoyable to have an outdoor onsen personal one whilst it was snowing. Host allowed slightly early check in( due to snow) and there was some wild deer that was eating grass at the doorstep of the hotel which greeted us!

The host and hostess are so kind, they offered pickup service at Biwaru station and helped guide my second travel. I also played with their dog a lot after dinner. Onsen was great even though I'm not good at taking onsen. Homemade foods were really tasty as well. Also, they offered a morning snowshoe tour, it was so awesome!

The dinners and breakfasts were lovely with a wide variety of freshly prepared food - as they are served at one large counter table it is a great opportunity to meet other travellers and share travel tips and a few drinks :)

Perfect location to explore Hokkaido lakes, experience outdoor onsens, and see the wildlife. Taka is an amazing host, the food (breakfast and dinner) were just delicious.
