Uniquely local. We got to stay in a local, Hokkaido Japanese house. Very clean. Full kitchen. We picked up some breakfast items from a convenience.store nearby and cooked in the kitchen. We had a big triple room. We also had a long chat with the host. The house is very nicely, artistically decorated, Hokkaido style, reminding me of the frontier spirit back in wild Wyoming/Montana. The Budget rental car is just across the street, very convenient for us to pick up the rental car in the morning. Thank you, Chi, for taking care of us.

Aeon mall and jr rail is only a block away. The short cut out the back door makes it very close. Onsen is very good and free for hotel guests, although it is not natural spring it is so clean and many different pools to use. Sauna is really hot and a cold pool is really cold.
