The two-bedroom pool villa we stayed in was an oasis of tranquility. It is secure and enclosed for privacy, very clean, has a built-in kitchen with cutleries, very good landscaping, and superb taste in terms of decoration. Manuh and his wife are such kind souls. They are two of the best hosts I have had during my travels. It is rare to immediately feel so comfortable, at home, and taken care of and they did just that. I only stayed 2 nights but had some lovely conversations with the two of them and would love to stay again someday. The property is nestled away from the chaos in downtown Uluwatu, but Manuh will allow you to rent a motorbike (for a good price) and it’s not far. Cheap local food nearby as well and Green Bowl beach (7 minute drive) is beautiful! They also helped arrange my ride when I was leaving :) 10/10!

Free water, tea and coffee is the best! It was extremely convenient to not have to buy plastic water bottles and to be able to make a coffee in the morning as I wake up super early. And great to minimise plastic bottle waste. The location was fantastic - I could walk to a variety of local shops and food on really nice footpaths - don't be afraid to eat where the local people do, you will be amazed at how good and cheap the food is! Highly recommend Warung Bu Oki and also Cak Man for amazing wok fried fish. The staff will tell you where to go because they are exceedingly friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, the balcony convenient, and the kitchenette and bar fridge an absolute blessing as they allowed me to make snacks and keep some food. For a value hotel this place offers a lot. The rooms are designed really well. For example, the bathroom doesnt open off the room, its separated.

Amazing pool, staff and setting. The amount of work they've put in to build Villa Anjing over the years is impressive. The tiling and stone work must've taken yonks! Great vision to accomplish what they have. The friendly dogs are a great company. Awesome service from breakfast in the morn, organising transport and cleaning our room. Thank you Caroline and Paul.
