I've stayed at many 5* hotels e en a 6* The employees here made me feel so welcome. I decided to stay an extra day. My top floor room was actually a huge apartment. The shower could hold 4 people. It was gigantic. I will go back again to this bit of heaven in Rio

I didn't like a shared apartment with two suites. I have rented the second suite due to safety issues. Also, I can't use the piscine because I don't have medical certification. and I didn't have time to visit a medic.

I have no words to describe how much I loved the stay. Estrelas da Babilônia is a little paradise and Bibi is an amazing woman: so brave, hardworking and kind. I admire her so much! She managed to create a beautiful place with incredible energy. Our room (the one with seaview and private bathroom) was just great. Breathtaking view from the window, comfortable bed, very clean space. Guests have an access to two well equipped kitchens (there's oil, salt, coffee, tea) so it's perfect for cooking. And the breakfast is so delicious and healthy! Just wonderful. And about the favela... It is SUPER safe, I never felt insecure or not even slightly weird there. It's a community, Bibi knows everyone and people are welcoming to her guests. I felt there much safer than on Copacabana. I think Estrelas da Babilônia is the best place I've ever visited. Don't hesitate and book your stay there! Also Bibi organizes great excursions to the trail that it's a few steps away and she sells beautiful souvenir t-shirt. Please support her and buy one when you come, we loved ours 💕

This was an amazing experience. We’re so glad we started our trip here. It was ideal to relax here for the first two days in Rio. The staff is incredibly helpful and nice, the view is stunning and the pool open late. The rooms so spacious clean and the terrace with the view such a bonus! We loved staying here.
