This incredible hotel offers unbeatable value for its very reasonable price. But what truly made our stay shine was the exceptional service from the front desk superstar, Mr. Takeda-San (武田)! He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, patiently using Google Translate to communicate with us and even recommending an amazing onsen (hot spring) just a short 15-minute drive away. The parking was a breeze at just ¥1000 per day, and our room was surprisingly spacious by Japan's standards! But the pièce de résistance was the complimentary alcohol available for guests in the lobby - talk about generosity! We can't thank Mr. Takeda-San and the Hotel Quest Shimizu team enough for their warm hospitality. We'll definitely be back again in the future!

As for the food, there is a very good selection and it's reasonably priced. There is a restaurant at the top level where you may see Mount fuji on a clear day.

Shimizu City Hotel is an accommodation in Shizuoka, located just a minute's walk away from JR Shimizu Station. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a restaurant. Extremely close to the train station. Was in close proximity to convenience stores as well. A good place to base yourself in if you want to visit Miho No Matsubara Park. Room for 3 was spacious enough. Had ample space for luggage and a dedicated area to hang our clothes! Also offered free toiletries at the hotel lobby. Helped to keep our luggage when we checked out to explore the nearby area.

The room is tidy and clean and the hotel staff also very kind. The hotel is very close to the station, also has a big supermarket that 24hrs open nearby. Really a good place to stay.
