Located in Sendai, TAOYA Akiu offers 4-star accommodation with an open-air bath. This ryokan provides free private parking and a 24-hour front desk. The ryokan has a hot spring bath and a lift. Food was great. It was nice to have continued snacks and drinks in the lobby all day. Midnight curry udon was fun. The baths were beautiful.

Located on a hill, 仙台秋保温泉 篝火の湯 緑水亭 boasts spectacular forest views, large indoor and outdoor hot spring baths, and a spa offering beauty treatments and massages. Very convenient as the ryokan has a bus service to and from Sendai station directly, and also has an on-call service to send and pick up from the main bus terminal in Akiu.

Rantei boasts 24-hour hot spring baths, a pool in summer and creative cuisine by an award-winning chef. Japanese-style and Western rooms feature mountain views. The staff were very friendly. The facilities were great - loved the onsen, games corner. Good location - close to Sendai and some nice nature areas to visit in close proximity to the hotel such as the Japanese style garden.

Akiu Fuga, a property with a bar, is situated in Sendai, 38 km from Shiogama Shrine, 17 km from Sakuraoka Daijingu, as well as 17 km from Sendai International Centre. This is the perfect onsen town to be in if you are near Sendai. We had a great stay in the Japanese western room with a private bath. It was amazing! We had a great view of the river and the bath was so relaxing. I love that we had the choice of sleeping on a western bed or laying out the Japanese mattress. We had the full board option which inlcudes dinner and breakfast. Both meals were scrumptious. They had a set menu and explained each course (they even tried to explain it in their best English). We so highly appreciated their efforts. There is a bar with a free welcome drink, and some very unique drinks to try. Highly recommend this place if you want to experience the traditional onsen with more privacy. Also this little onsen town is the cutest! They have a short trail along the streams which is very accessible and more of a leisurely walk. There are some cute cafes in the neighborhood. Definitely recommend checking this area out. If you are here in Spring there are some beautiful cherry blossom spots. Another pro is that there is an express bus near Sendai station to this area. It's about a 40 minute ride.
