Very modern hotel at the edge of the historic city centre. The check-in was quick - every receptionist speaks very good English. The room was clean and had a great view over Danube river. Room was perfectly soundproof and I slept well on my bed. There is a gym, which you have to ask an employee to unlock for you. It was small but rather well-equiped.

I booked unexpectedly a night at the Verdi Hotel because of a last minute LH flight cancellation. From a nightmare at the airport this became one of my best experiences in Budapest. Midway between the airport and the center, the Verdi has the most friendly, helpful and welcoming staff I met in town. At the reception and bar alike, all were eager to make us feel comfortable. The room and the bathroom were huge, there was a kettle, tea, coffee and filtered water for free. Room was very quiet. Delicious and diverse choice of breakfast.

The Ibis Budapest Citysouth hotel is located a 15-minute drive from the Budapest Liszt Ferenc Airport, opposite the Határ út M3 Metro Stop. It was very clean, location was very good regarding transport
