Gallant Hotel is set near Rebouças Tunnel and is a 10-minute drive from Leblon Beach. Estácio Metro station is just 5 minutes away on foot. From a first time-traveler it was practical and everything I was worried about turned out just to be a thing of my imagination. The staff was polite and caring, and everything turned instinctively easy along the way.
