Wicklow is a historic town and still an operating harbour, in the vicinity of the Wicklow mountains. There's plenty of interest in the town, including the harbour area including the Black Tower, and the Old Gaol museum. There's pubs and restaurants to suit most tastes - I ate at the Blue seafood restaurant on the quay and it was excellent. For lighter meals there are cafes, coffee-houses and bakery tea rooms to from hipster to traditional. I busy, fun town.

The view of the Wicklow Mountains, while immersed in nature, an expansive property complete with Llamas, yoga studio, gardens and a peaceful ambiance throughout the building helped me relax after a very long journey. If you're looking for a more holistic get-away this would be the place to go.

Truly the garden of Ireland.
Truly the garden of Ireland. So much to see and do that I would have needed AT LEAST a week to have seen everything I was interested in. Beautifully kept villages that were spotless and bustling with people. Local people extremely friendly. Can't wait to come back!
I can really recommend a cafe 'Turquoise' for veggie or vegans. The amount of options there was amazing and the food was some of the best I've ever eaten. Along with 'The Happy Pear' in Greystones.
You def need a car to get around and I can recommend stopping at Victors Way for a bit of a different experience with lots of unique statues.

Wicklow is a quaint place and easy to get around if you park your car and walk. There are interesting shops to be found in the town of Wicklow. The surrounding areas towards the mountains is definitely worth exploring. There are great walks and public transport easy to navigate.
The lodge is in a fabulous location, so close to beautiful walks and a very easy drive from Dublin Airport.
Our room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. We had a lovely balcony off our room with the most amazing view over the Wicklow Mountains. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. Everyone was so friendly and helpful with information about local attractions. We are only sorry we had one night because we could really have stayed much longer.
The location is beautiful, the apartment is a tiny lovely place. Perfect size for our two night stay. Very clean. They had it fully stocked which was so nice. Owners just went above and beyond in all of the little details, and we loved it so much. Will definately stay again when we visit and will miss this little boutique apartment. Thank you Mick and Martina for making our honeymoon trip to Ireland a bit more special.
Brand new remodel and super clean. The beds were so comfortable and it was well appointed. Very close to the adorable Wicklow shops and pubs…very close! It was in a very safe area and we loved walking in the afternoons with the locals all out with their dogs, walking to Black Castle or having a pint in the evening. When we had a question about the washer, Graham popped over and showed us how to use it.
Your place was our favorite of all that we stayed at on our 10 days in Ireland. We loved the beautiful location, the spaciousness of the room, the cleanliness - and, of course, the porridge. Your info on the surrounding area and on dining at Heather House was so helpful. When we return to Ireland, we plan to stay with you again and for additional nights! Thank you!!
The special touches and all the treats and goodies better than a hotel provides and good quality treats and shampoo etc.Small can't really walk to town as a serious hill to walk but taxi are near and pubs and resturants are nit far by taxi fortunately we rented a car and no problem with parking.would definitely come back again for a one or two night stop over .
Spotlessly clean apartment. Everything provided including cooker, fridge, coffee machine, teabags, toaster, cutlery etc.
Just bring a few sausages, rashers etc. and you are ready to go.
Brilliant WIFI signal, no problem streaming.
Located minutes away from the M11, no problem getting to Wicklow town, Greystones and Bray.
Fiona is a wonderful host. Nothing was too much trouble. She was flexible and accommodating when I wanted to change my breakfast booking. She gave excellent advice about what Wicklow has to offer. She is a very fine chef. The property is spotless, immaculate but still welcoming.
Better than described - a little gem in the Wicklow countryside there isn’t a high enough rating. Host was fantastic great communication, even left a lovely surprise goodie for my daughters bday. House was spotless and very comfortable for everyone’s needs.
Spotless, well thought out apartment.
Everything we could need. A thoughtful welcome basket
Very pretty private courtyard and gated grounds making it safe and peaceful
Easy to get to Wicklow town centre (only €9 if wanted to get a taxi)
Quiet, welcoming home with Fiona our lovely, hospitable hostess. Toured the Historic Wicklow Gail (recommended), traveled 1/2 hr to walk the Glen da Lough area, bonus: found God’s Cottage ( small shop with quiet prayer room) Beautiful area!
It a beautiful setting close to this quaint, busy seaside town. Exceptional hostess made us breakfast before we headed out on our adventures for the day. Very quiet and friendly hospitality with a beautiful setting.
Our room was fantastic with a nice sitting area. The breakfast was great and it was in the lounge overlooking the river. The bed was comfortable. It is a nice town to walk around and short walk to the cliffs.
Ideal location to explore Wicklow area. Accommodation was clean and well maintained.
Hosts were friendly and helpful. The laundry room was a bonus - wonderful to be able to wash and dry dirty clothes.
Ian and his family were brilliant, the location was central to all the activities we had planned . Bonus points for Fred, Luke and Max. We are already planning to revisit. If I could I would give 100/10
