This cottage is a diamond in the Small Karoo. Ideally situated near Oudtshoorn between the koppies. Tranquil and peaceful. AnnMari is an excellent host. The cottage is equiped with everything you need and more. Very stylish with privacy for each room with its own bathroom. Gas stove works excellent and has also got a nice full fridge/freezer. Although near the road, we never felt unsave and traffic hardly bothered us. We were three ladies staying there for 11 nights. Only small negative was the, I assume, farm workers not far from there with their music. It was over Xmast and New Year, so we understood that as well. Was truly a beautiful experience and the atmosphere was fabtastic

We enjoyed the food at the restaurant and breakfast was good, too. It‘s nice to go for a walk around the hotel to see the different animals.

The wooden bungalows are just incredible and let you feel you are in the mountain or in the bush but certainly not in town. Spacious, cosy and well furnished with a view over the river and the trees. Multiple welcome touches (nuts, brandy, sweets, water for the night,...) and even a car wash !!! The lodge is very well located and Albert and Elza are very kind in every aspects.
