We were only here a few days , we went to the beach which is in a very peaceful area , you have so much space and surrounded by trees so you can have shade, the uraguay river if a brown colour but is clean and you can swim . We cycled around the area and went to the sculpture gardens which was run by a local artist, it was fun to see and the artist told us how he makes the sculptures, children would like to see the animal sculptures here . We had a wine tasting at El Legardo which was great 😊

This is a low-key town without any visible tourist infrastructure. We came to relax at a vineyard and enjoy the Uruquay countryside. It was great for 2-3 nights, time to explore the different wineries, take a cycle and visit the small local beach at sunset.

A cute little town off the beaten path.
A cute little town off the beaten path. If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing, very authentic stay...Carmelo is for you!
The ferry from Buenos Aires only takes a little over an hour to Colonia del Sacramento and the from there you can take the bus to Carmelo. Really easy!
An absolutely perfect stay - the rooms, scenery, and hotel are even more beautiful than in the photos. Truly one of the most beautiful yet homely hotels we have ever visited. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, nothing was too big an ask. I felt lucky every single second I was there! On site restaurant is delicious, Narbona makes most of its own produce which made it even tastier. The wine was incredible of course. We can’t wait to come back one day
Aldo, our host, was extremely gracious. He picked us up at the bus station and provided valuable information concerning the local wineries, restaurants etc. The cabana is beautiful and perfectly decorated. We were provided with a pastries, juices etc. for breakfast. We couldn't have asked for a more delightful place from which to enjoy the local wineries and Carmelo.
Very helpful owner!! Helped me to organize activities and if I had any questions.
The place is about 2-3 km outside of the city but right next to some of the best wineries in Carmelo. They provided me with a bike so it was really easy to get around.
The room itself was clean, and has a small kitchen (but no stove) and is well equipped
This was a beautiful, comfortable, and above all tranquil place to spend a couple nights while exploring the lovely area around Carmelo. I especially enjoyed being able to have a place to crash after enjoying a long, leisurely wine tasting and lunch at the winery itself. (Do treat yourself to this experience, if you stay!)
A very nice, comfortable apartment in separate building. Pool and surrounding garden are really beautiful. Neighborhood is great. Convenient walk or bike ride into town or the beach. Gustavo is awesome. Very friendly and accommodating. Just to stay here is worth a visit to Carmelo.
The staff were excellent. Free parking available. Spacious room, with stone accents. Breakfast was okay, no cook on the first day. Spotlessly clean. The pool was really good, comfortable lounges. The hotel helped us out with getting laundry done for us.
Amazing environment. Posada Campotinto is the best place to have a truly Wine Experience in Carmelo.
Good food, good wines and perfect structure for the place (not too much, exactly what we need to feel Carmelo).
The hotel is more beautiful that it looks in the pictures. Things like the spa and restaurant are not represented in the online pictures of the resort - which is too bad. The pool area is also very nice.
Beautiful peaceful location on this gorgeous vineyard. Easy access to Carmelo town and nearby bodegas. We loved the tranquil grounds, the swimming pool and the food and wine choices- all from the estate.
Cute living room, dining room, bedrooms, lawn, and pool. Close walk to the river beach, where everyone hangs out at sunset. Horses geez on the pastures between the hotel and beach. Very sweet staff.
location-beautiful cottage facing the vineyard, super cool owners and they made us feel comfortable and welcome! even though it was a cabin, all amenities were hotel level!
