We actually stayed in Nokomis which is near Venice.

We actually stayed in Nokomis which is near Venice. It is laid back and great for couples or solo travelers. Downtown Venice didn't seem very busy or crowded. We just did a drive by in Venice but it didn't look like much was going on midweek.

    Very much a retirement community.

Very much a retirement community. Restaurant choices were very much chain, safe and bland. There were roundabouts that were semi traffic circles, which makes them confusing to people who don't use them.

We liked Venice and surrounding areas and the Best Western was in a great spot. Restaurants in the area were very good. The Red Grouper right across the street was a great local hangout with super food and very nice service.

Venice and Nokomis are my favorite places in Florida.

Venice and Nokomis are my favorite places in Florida. It is nice, cozy, friendly people live there and it would be the best place to live and raise your family. Venice offers lots or restaurant, beaches and shopping opportunities. You can go fishing, jet skiing or rent a boat at any time, visit gators in Snook Haven or do a canoe tour on the Myakka River.

Venice is a small town just a short drive to metro areas. Venice is centrally located. Venice has a great dog beach. Venice is very easy to navigate and traffic is not an issue. Traveling with 2 big dogs was not an issue. Easy to find dog-friendly areas.

The staff is very helpful, nice and accommodating. The folks here turned a really bad day for me into a great day and I appreciate all of them very much. This is a great spot across from the public beach in a calm and quiet neighborhood. The pool and the hot tub were in perfect working condition and the water was the cleanest that I've experienced in most hotels in a long time. Downtown Venice is a short drive or a short walk away with plenty of delicious food and experiences to be had. Thank you for a great stay!

I love the outdoor space. The pool and the 'garden' behind it are a peaceful place to spend time in the morning or evenings and one could usually find someone to talk with if interested. The air conditioner in the room was a nice model and the fridge was well sized. I love to walk and the location gave me an excuse to get my steps in walking to and from town and various beaches. Easy access to a grocery store and Walgreens. Did I mention peaceful and quiet????

This is an bungalow style hotel with kitchens in the rooms. The property has been nicely updated, and the location is wonderful. We were on a road trip, and I booked this hotel for a one night stay. We loved the beach and the hotel, so we stayed a second night. This area is great- no high rise buildings, and quiet. We will definitely return for a longer stay!

The friendly staff took care of all our needs, even gave us a new room with Bayview for half of the time, when we had only booked Bayside – that was so amazing! The motel itself is neat, well equipped and close to the beach. We loved the grill stations they have and had BBQ every evening. Really enjoyed that!

I was only there briefly. The room was clean and comfortable. Loads of towels! It was only me there but there seemed to be enough towels for 4 people. Loads of free beach equipment. Next to the main beach. On the main road for restaurants if you wanted to get exercise and walk. I wished I’d stayed longer.

The hotel is a nice mom and pop style place. It had everything we needed and each room opened up to the courtyard where the pool and garden area are. Ping pong table was a hit as well. The location afforded us the opportunity to drive to the beach in less than 5 minutes. Had a great time for the price.

Cozy older hotel in Venice. Dog friendly which makes it very nice for me. I felt safe here as everything is well lite at night. And your four-legged friends will love you for taking them to the dog park that’s right on the beach famous in Venice Florida.

Pretty much the only thing we liked was the location: three minute walk to the beach (which was lovely) and about 7 minute walk into the centre of Venice. Oh, and at least the towels were very good quality.
