When I checked in to the property I was shocked to see that the carpet was torn, the curtains were off the rails and it was not cleaned properly. I mentioned this to the front desk and requested a discount or refund from them. I have not heard anything back since then. It was a busy weekend so I could not find other accommodation in the same price range.

It was good for one night and served our needs at the time.
Absolutely beautiful area. Very charming downtown with a wide variety of restaurants and shops. Beaches a short drive away. Highly recommend SLO Provisions for breakfast. El Esquina for a delicious meal. Farmers Market on Thursday nights give a wonderful sense of local products, foods and services. Very easy to walk around downtown. Morro Bay is an easy 20 min away. A beautiful drive. Morro Bay is a charming beach filled with local surfers, people walking their dogs or just hanging out to soak in the waves and surrounding beauty.

Close to downtown, shopping and restaurants to include the famous Madonna Inn. We were there to visit our student at CalPoly. Great amenities for our family. Always nice to have extra space in our room with the living room/dining area.

Very pleasant town with access to beautiful hikes.
Very pleasant town with access to beautiful hikes. Easy to get around. I loved how unique all the different buildings and houses were. Food was only decent, but not terrible. Good breweries, too! Very walkable. The highlight was going to the hot spring resort for their hour-use tubs.

Beautiful place to visit.
Beautiful place to visit. University town with a lovely walkable downtown. Lots of restaurants. Many people biking. Close to Pismo and Avila Beach, Morro Bay (and Rock) and the gorgeous central coast.Always love coming to SLO but it can be very pricey. This was a quick family visit so didn’t eat out much. Always find time for a latte at Scout coffee. If you are on a budget, check out hotel prices in advance prior to choosing dates. Inexpensive places jump to over $200 per night during certain weekends.

We went for an early morning run up the convenient bike path into SLO. We had a great tour of the city on foot and visited the El Camino Real sites and the Mission. We ran back through the hills and had a great view of the surrounding areas. Worth returning to visit. High up on the historic trail.

The location was perfect. A 15 minute walk from the train station in the heart of Downtown. The layout of the room was great. Lots of space dedicated to the bathroom/shower/dressing area. The hotel was modern/rustic with clean lines that were pleasing to the eye. Very quiet. Good food at the in-house restaurant. Did not get a chance to use the pool but very pretty area. The gym was well equipped
The atmosphere at the hostel was just great, warm and welcoming! We were arriving from LA, were everything felt a bit dispersive, so finding this little nest has been fantastic! The position is superb in the nice San Luis Obispo, really close to Pismo Beach and perfect for an exploration along the coast. Ah, Gary, your pancakes are awesome :)
I often visit San Luis Obispo for my sibling, This is my fifth time staying here. Staff is always kind and feel welcome, very clean. Another thing I like about Motel 6 is pet friendly and stay free. This location has multiple grass area in property, close to the large dog park and hiking trails. Highly recommended and I'll be back soon!
Love the location of this hotel, close to Cap Poly, hiking trails, and walkable to downtown restaurants and shops. The room was clean and comfortable, with double sinks in the bathroom a nice bonus. Breakfast was tasty and the cookies in the afternoon are a nice way to end the day. We'll definitely be back.
This is a small motel near the downtown area of SLO. Nothing too fancy but very adequate and reasonably priced. The shower was hot, AC worked great, parking very close to the room and 15 min walk to downtown SLO. We booked it on short notice and worked out just fine. I would stay again.
The setting is superb! The price was reasonable as compared to other locations in nearby San Luis Obispo. We had an excellent room that included a patio with an unobstructed view of the Back Bay. The Inn is in superior condition and looks like it was just recently painted.
Hostel Obispo is such a wonderful place, with great people, beautiful rooms, and a lovely location in the heart of downtown San Luis Obispo. It is always such a pleasure to stay at, really looking forward to visiting again soon!
Checked in quickly, staff very nice. Bed was comfortable, room was very clean. Nice hotel with pool. Decent breakfast included. Area is convenient, just off highway and a 20 minute stroll to "downtown".
It was probably one of the best motels that we stayed in during our roadtrip. We were satisfied with our choice. Facilities also have a washing machine and a dryer that you can use for an extra cost.
The property is a quaint country style hotel nestled in the Central Coastal town of San Luis Obispo. The grounds are well kept & rooms are comfortable and quaint. I highly recommend this property.
Less than 1 mile from the downtown San Luis Obispo area. This was equivalent to a 5 min Uber ride. Uber’s were readily available. Always less than 5 min wait.
Lovely, historical house and immaculate B&B. Great location in central San Luis Obispo, easy to walk anywhere. Free parking (in a nearby public garage).
