My prospective is very particular: landed on Henri Coanda airport close to midnight, domestic connection the next day; same thing upon returning, but with international connection the next day. There is an universal store opened 24/7 with 1 hour break at midnight inside the airport, at arrivals, downstairs. Pay a visit there if you arrive at odd times like myself and wanna pick up a quick bite. The hotel is walking distance from the airport (under 15 min), I didn't bother to take transportation, Uber would have been an economical choice probably. Nice and clean room, bathroom, comfy beds. Quiet too. Staff was friendly.

The location is a 20-minute walk from the airport, so dragging luggage is not easy. There is a supermarket nearby which is very convenient. The house owner is very kind and the room is very clean. The shower space is small and the plastic curtain often sticks to you. It would be better if the kitchen has a microwave and toaster. Otopeni is close to the airport and with traffic these days, there is always that risk of being too late for a flight if you travel from the center of Bucharest. Many bus lines also can drop off people on the way to Bucharest at the airport. This location offers a lot of low cost, decent, accommodation with sufficiently numerous local cafes for relaxing before and after flights. I do not think it is difficult to get to the center from Otopeni and it only takes minutes to get to the airport. For me this was great due to early morning and late night flights.

It was very easy to access our room, which was spacious, comfortable and clean. We walked about 15 minutes south on nice, quiet suburban roads and found grocery shops, an ATM and some decent restaurants. We also went to the nearby water park on the morning before our flight, which was good fun. I would highly recommend this hotel as a great place for a stopover in Bucharest!
