It's an amazing hotel sited on top of a hill overlooking on one side Lake Toya and on the, a bay being part of Sea of Japan and one has a 360° view of the entire valley lake and mountains including of Mt Yotei in the distance. Its also a beautiful n lavishly appointed hotel and one of its many claims to fame is being the site of a G8 Summit hotel in 2008. It has many lovely restaurants, a great onsen plus a nice golf course to boot. Locals regard this hotel as Hokkaido's most prestigious hotel, and one can fully understand once you stay there. The staff are so professional and courteous fm the doorman to everyone you come into contact as they all seem so conscious they have a very high reputation to maintain as The Top hotel in the region. A Must Return to hotel.

Onsen's were great and easily the best part about the stay (a shame that tattooed guests would be turned away however - such an archaic policy).
Location was great and cafe/library downstairs was nice. Seperate washing machines and dryers were a nice change of pace from the combo units at most other locations.
Located a 15-minute taxi ride from or a 25-minute bus ride from JR Toya Train Station, The Lake View Toya Nonokaze Resort offers guests a panoramic view of Lake Toya from their infinity onsen.

Location was excellent and our rooms had a view of the lake. Beds and pillows were super comfy. The firework festival was amazing but best viewed just outside the resort (as advised by the staff).
The staff could speak multiple languages so there were no issues with communication.
Love the book&labo space which was good to sit and read/work/relax.
The onsens were located on the top floor (outdoor and indoor), which rotated between male and female overnight so you could try both. While there was a traditional onsen on level 2 as well, I didn't try that one out.
Love that the staff provided robes for all guests including the kids (specific to their ages) so it was a good fit.
The buffet dinner and breakfast had a great selection and food was amazing. The restaurant has views of the lake which was a bonus.
Right on the shores of Lake Toya, Kohan Tei features outdoor hot-spring baths with lake views, buffet meals and karaoke. The Japanese-style rooms are air-conditioned and include a satellite LCD TV.
Hot spring baths at Toya Kanko Hotel are located in a cave, or indoors and outdoors offering panoramic lake views.

Room was spacious and view was good.
Opposite there was a convenience store but most shops close around 5-6pm like a ghost town.
Staff were helpful and friendly. Onsen seems like a an old bathhouse.

Didn’t like it in late February. The only thing to do is go to the onsen, some of the hotels will grant you access for a small fee if you’re not staying there.
There is a boat tour (looks like a princess castle, sort of weird), pricey and so so boring, they don’t even go all around the lake and it doesn’t stop for you to step on the islands.
Overall, very sad town in February.

Taking a slow stroll along the lakeside with cooling breeze blowing towards you is refreshing and makes you feel so free.
A must visit to Mount Usu taking the cable car and walking along the Ropeway is scenic.
A short drive of about 10 minutes from Lake Toya there is a Little Farm that serves very good ice cream, coffee and pizza. Children loves the goats in this farm land.

Beautiful and scenic but you are not allowed to swim in the lake because it is a Unesco site. I was unable to Google this info so I'm sharing it here. It is 90 degrees here today so that sucks. They don't mind you dipping your feet but there are no swimming beaches. You can get wet if you are boating or on SUPboard. I probably would’ve toured another part of the country if I knew I couldn’t swim in the lake in the middle of an extremely hot summer. the south of like Toya is filled with Asian tourists. We enjoyed the quiet north side.

It was nice generally.
It was nice generally. It offers a great view if the weather is clear and not foggy. We were there on 30/12/23 it was winter, weather was cloudy foggy and snowing and we can’t see much. Anyway we enjoy strolling along the lake side with snowfall, feels so peaceful, romantic and beautiful. We went to Mt Usu by using the ropeway. We was at the crater unfortunately it was covered with a thick snow so we didn’t get what we want to see. If I happen to travel to Lake Toya again, I would like to try hiking.
I don’t often write reviews but my stay in this hostel just needs one. I stayed here for only one night on my trip trough Hokkaido and it was just amazing. The accommodation is clean and cozy and the beds are soo comfortable. But the best: the hosts. They were so kind and helped me with all my questions. English conversation is also possible! :-) Since it was heavily raining on the morning I left, the offered me a drive to the bus station. Thank you so much, Keiko-san, arigato gosaimasu.
House has everything you need. Very spacious with big Tv and sofa. Comes with fully equip kitchen.
Had washing machine, though there is no dryer machine, it has an automated clothes rack and a clothes heater/warmer for you to dry the clothes naturally.
Drive and park right in front of house.
There is a nice onsen just abt 3-4 mins walk from the house.
Enjoy the stay very much.
The hotel had a beautiful view of Lake Toya. The room was really nice and large. Public bath was amazing and had many pools. There is a open air onsen which looks over the lake. At sunrise you get such amazing views. We had the breakfast and dinner buffet it had a large range of choices to eat. The staff were super helpful and assisted all our needs.
It's a very clean and modern place, perfect if you don't want to go in the fancy and pricy hotels in Toyako Onsen. The owner is really friendly and even if you don't speak Japanese, you can still figure it out easily at this place. There's a restaurant where you can eat on the 1st floor on you order on a machine. Very practical.
Stayed 2 nights here and the staff were realllly nice!
Read the reviews about the good food so we had our dinner in the component and it’s truly a delight! Every dish was amazing!
The accommodation is huge and had the most amazing view of lake Toya! Everything also had a rustic vibe to it as the whole place is made of wood
The location is amazing, a stone's throw from the lake.
My room in the East wing is newly renovated, clean, and has a great view of the Lake.
The hotel is gigantic, with so many common areas like library and a cafe
The outdoor onsen is picturesque and beautiful.
Breakfast was plentiful of choice.
Hotel located in lakeside of the lake Toya. Great Onsen place that overlooks lake. Room is clean and comfortable, loved my widow view. Food was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
Old style Japanese hotel . Comfi futons . Amazing Japanese breakfast , quite , large room, hot hot onsen , staff amazing .
We loved the stay . Felt like in old Japan !!
Spacious. And the view from my room is gorgeous, the stunning Lake Toya. Hotel is close to the Toyako Onsen bus terminal. The front desk staff is also super polite.
Amazing view of the lake; option of private onsen; great buffet for dinner and breakfast; cute library on site; local handcrafted gifts at the gift shop
