Getting around is easy. Nice parks and resorts and tourist areas. I liked the tourist areas around Erbil, short day trips then you can go back to your hotel in the city.
I see that the government is working to improve tourism, however, there is still more work need to be done, investment in the parks and resorts is very important which will bring more tourist locally and internationally.

Our stay at the hotel was beyond exceptional!
Our stay at the hotel was beyond exceptional! This was mainly due to the front office receptionist (Ramen) who was extremely helpful, professional and courteous. Our entire duration was seamless and wonderful! It’s obvious the staff truly care about their guests and we will definitely be returning and recommending this hotel. Thank you so much again Ramen, you have made us loyal guests

I would stay in Ainkawa rather than Erbil, it is a waking area. Erbil is a car city, like Dubai or Jakarta. It is not a walking city like Kuala Lumpur or Paris.
If one has a car than Erbil area is nice, especially if one can go up into the mountains in the summer.

Erbil itself is an interesting historical city but you probably only need two days to visit most of the highlights. It's easy to get around as there is always a glut if taxis. It helps if you have gps and you know the local name of where you're going. Staying in Ankawa probably makes the most sense for any tourist as many of the best restaurants ( Fuul & hummus), bars (Dusk) and spas are there.
Erbil is also a perfect base for travelling the governorate including Haji Ormran, gslgurd mountain and Felaw pound, Bekhal, Gali Ali Bag, korek mountain and Shingalbana

A city full of history and culture.
A city full of history and culture. Survivors of thousands of years of war, still able to preserve their culture while embracing modern traditions and culture. so much to see, to do and so many beautiful people. Put it on your bucket list, you won't regret it.
As usual,
Everything is perfect, rooms are super clean, and the staff is super professional and friendly and would do anything you need to assist you.
I have been into so many hotels in Erbil, but this is the only one that beats all the hotels and considered number 1 hotel.
Facilities is very good and also their restaurant at 7th floor (Waves) has a very nice and diversified breakfast, also i tried their open buffet for lunch and it was as perfect as expected.
Thank you all for making my stay that comfort
Upon arrival in Erbil, I stayed for one night at a dump of a hotel in the middle of Erbil with a bathroom that likely had not been scrubbed in a couple years. I booked the Asenappar on a whim just to get out of there. They let me check in early the day of my booking, the breakfast was acceptable and varied, the clerk used his own phone when I needed to call about my COVID test, and there are shops / restaurants around the hotel. Internet is decent for the region.
The staff are so friendly, welcoming, caring, cooperative and helpful, especially the hotel owner was so kind and generous.
The room is so clean and quiet.
Breakfast is delicious with lots of varieties.
Family friendly, so flexible they accepted late check in and late check out.
The vibes in the cafe while having breakfast was amazing.
We had a pleasant stay.
We will definitely book again, next time visiting Erbil.
Thank you vote hotel staff.
Wonderful staff.Haval and Rawan were of a great help since our booking.
We got a free upgrade room which was very appreciated.

Haval helped us to find a driver to travel around Iraqi Kurdistan: experience with him was good despite language barrier.

high standards as expected from Rotana hotels
will definitely stay there again for coming visits to Erbil
First of all the stuff of the hotel is absolutely amazing from start to end. Their support and hospitality was above my expectations. I have experienced many situations along my trips, but the stuff from the Divan Hotel was the best experience I had so far.
Thank you all, especially to Arshad, Nadine, Rima, Kaywan and James.
Great location as far as visiting the Ainkawa suburb is concerned, which has many bars, cafes and restaurants. Staff were also very hospitable and friendly, especially Rana from Syria. Ankawa is like a city within a city, so I do recommend staying here separately to Erbil city to experience it as well.
I like the hotel, it's in a good location, clean and there are several restaurants and Cafe around. The staff specially Adnan, Kinan, Mustafa and Room service Akshi were very helpful and ready to support you.
This was my third stay and looking to book again any time I arrive Erbil
Great value for money, excellent staff which are creating a very great atmosphere and always there to help you.
Excellent location close to everything, much better than a 4 stars hotel where I used to stay for almost double price per night.
Thank you BL Hotel Erbil❤
Excellent place to stay in Erbil. This hotel is within walking distance to the citadel and the Bazar. The hotel is excellent value and the staff (particularly Youseff on the front desk ) are amazing. I would not hesitaate to recomend the Janet Bludan Hotel.
The managerial staff Ghaith and Hamzah were outstanding and couldn't have been more kind and helpful in every way.
Having been to the centre of Erbil, I actually preferred the location of Soulmate Hotel in the Bakhatiari area instead.
Best and most supportive staff in the city. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and Qusay made sure we had absolutely everything we needed, he was such a blessing. We will be coming back for sure, it’s our favorite hotel in Erbil
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Location is in the middle of the well serviced Ankawa neighborhood with lots of amenities within walking distance.
